<br />I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Council Meeting - August 12, 1968 - continued <br /> <br />One-Ton Truck <br />Councilman Crepeau moved, seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst, that a <br />used one-ton truck for mounting the sewer rodding equipment be pur- <br />chased at an estimated cost of $1,780.00; motion carried. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR ROBERT BJORNDAHL - Parks and Recreation ,and Human <br />Rights Committees <br /> <br />Village Emblem for Equipment <br />Mayor Bjorndahl adV1Sed that the Arden Hills Jaycees were investigation <br />costs of decals of the village emblem, to be used on village equipment, <br />and reported that costs vary as follows: <br /> <br />approximately 12" in diameter emblem decal in <br />Scotch lite - $6.35 each <br />Mylar - $3.25 " <br /> <br />five week waiting period after order is placed. <br /> <br />Council requested that the Jaycees also investigate the cost of a <br />stencil, probably 2' in diameter. <br /> <br />Human Rights Committee <br />Mr. B1ll Benz1ck was present and asked if a bulletin board would be <br />available for this committee. Mayor Bjorndahl advised that one can <br />be purchased for their use if the committee requests it. <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Meetin <br />Mayor Jorn a a V1se a e ar s and Recreation Committee will <br />meet on August 13 to review plans for three pakrs, submitted by the <br />City of St. Paul Park Planner, Mr. Edmonds. <br /> <br />Mayor Bjorndahl reported that the hill at the hockey rink on County <br />Road E and Highway 51 has been sodded on the south side. The fence <br />will be erected. He believes he has volunteers to dig the post holes. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK LORRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />Election Board <br />Deputy Clerk Florence Honan presented the names of residents who have <br />agreed to work on the election boards in Precincts 1 and 2 for the <br />September 10, 1968, primary Election. <br /> <br />It was moved by Gray Henderson that these boards be approved as sub- <br />mitted and attached; seconded by Councilman H. Crepeau; carried. <br /> <br />Evening Hours for Voter Registration <br />Deputy Clerk Florence Honan adV1sed the council that the administration <br />office will be open three (3) evenings, August 16, 19 and 20, until <br />9:00 p.m. for voter registration. Notices will be posted in New Brighton <br />and Roseville Post Offices. Clerk was requested to publish notice in <br />the papers. <br /> <br />Metro Council - Metro Sewer Plan <br />Deputy Clerk F. Honan presented a letter from the Metropolitan Section, <br />League of Minnesota Municipalities, advising mayors, managers and clerks <br />of Metropolitan Council's Metropolitan Sewer Plan and meeting to be <br />scheduled in late August. <br /> <br />Clerk was asked to request Engineer D. Lund to represent the village at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />Council Meetin~ of AUaust 26, 1968 <br />Mayor R. BJorn ahl an Counc1lman J.
