Attorney Courtney Info. rmed the council that Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson, <br />3246 Lake Johanna Blvd., are asking $750.00 for an easement for the Water <br />Improvement. <br /> <br />An Itemized list of loss of tree~ and shrubs on this property was submitted <br />by Rose Hill Nursery - estimate of loss amounted to $743.25. <br /> <br />Council referred to EnQlneer Lund to obtain from another nursery an esti- <br />mated cost of loss. - <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DON LUND <br /> <br />~~Lt!!!:.LSe~!U:.J..I!2.!:.2.:!!.~nt_t!2..:..-L:._AW~L2.L!!l!! <br />Engineer Lund reported that eight bids for this improvement were received <br />and read on Friday, July 26, 1968. He distributed caples of the tabula- <br />tion of bids to the Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Olmen moved, as recommended by Engineer Lund, that the contract <br />for Sanitary Sewer Improvement No.9 be awarded to the low bidder - Orfei <br />and Sons, Inc., 1156 Homer St.. St. Paul, Minn. 55116, In the amount of <br />$27,251.75, SUbJect to the approval of Attorney Courtne~ seconded by <br />Counci Iman Crepeau: motion carried. rJ..4~~ <br /> <br />lkl.!..f.Ls Pr2.E.~rtv - Se~!!.!:..L!!.!:.L.!.i!..!..!!,L <br />Mr. Griffis was present and requested council consideration to allow his <br />property, located east of 35W and west of Round Lake, to connect to the <br />New Brighton sewer system. He showed the Council' a map which showed the <br />property. Engineer Lund expressed his opinion that the best way to service <br />this area would be thru New Brighton if New Brighton can accommodate the <br />addition. <br /> <br />Councilman Hollenhorlt moved; seconded. by Councilman Crepeau, that Clerk <br />Lorraine Stromquist be directed to write to Robert Schaeffer, New Brighton <br />Manager, and request New Brighton to study the matter of sewer capacity <br />to accommodate this area; motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Griffis then proceeded to explain <br />this area, stating there are two pipe <br />which could be used for parking lots. <br />~o obtain information regarding these <br />~ourtney for his recommendations. <br /> <br />. ~t!!.!.~_I::UJa.!lwaL~2.L!!.!.i2.!L=-Y.!!.l~!.!..!!.!_b.!!.~ <br />Councilman Crepeau moved the adoption ot.a Re~ol~~ion, as attached, for <br />the Improvement of a part of T .H. 393, ~~~c""asT .H. 694, at the <br />north end of Valentine Lake, "dJe,l..1 to T.H. 694; seconded by Councilman <br />.
