<br />".-...-~ <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />Village of Arden HI I Is <br />Monday, March II. 1968 - 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Robert BJorndahl called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present - Mayor R. Bjorndahl, Councilmen H. Crepeau, S. Olmen, <br />J. Hollenhorst, and E. G. Henderson. <br />Absent - None <br />Also Present - Treasurer W. Read. Attorney V. Courtney, Engineer <br />D. Lund, Administrative Clerk L. Stromquist, and <br />Accounting Clerk C. McNlesh. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the Regular Council meeting of February 26, 1966, <br />were approved as corrected. <br /> <br />KOSTOHRYZ VARIANCE REQUEST - Case No. 67-23 <br />Gerald Frisch, attorney for D. Kostohryz, reported that protective <br />covenants have been drawn up, but not finalized, for the lot between <br />Mr. Kostohryz's buildIng lot and that of Dr. Blomquist. Robert <br />Smith, attorney for A. Blomquist, stated that the protectl~e covenants <br />were substantially satisfactory to Dr. Blomquist. <br /> <br />Attorney V. Courtney advised the Council that ~rotect!ve covenants <br />are not enforcible by the Village of Arden Hills. After some dis- <br />cussion Councilman Hollenhorst stated that It appears all stlpula- <br />tfons regarding protective covenants are being met and he moved that <br />the Kostohryz variance be approved as submitted with Case No. 67-23, <br />subject to properly executed copy of protective covenants being filed <br />with the Village Clerk. Seconded by Councilman Crepeau, carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Faltelsek asked the Council whether this variance approval would <br />apply to changed building plans for the slte~ The Council said It <br />would not !f the changes required addItional variances. Emblem Contest <br />Roger Reiling reported on the J.C. sponsored contest for a Village <br />Emblem, all entries are on display at the Village Hall, the number <br />one choice of the Judges was shown. The J.C.'s will make additional <br />copies of the emblem for VIllage use. <br /> <br />Mayor BJorndahl thanked the Arden Hills J.C.'s for their work on <br />this proJect. <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY VINCENT COURTNEY <br /> <br />~_/ <br /> <br />Boulevard Tree Ordinance <br />The Council read the final draft of the boulevard tree ordinance. <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved approval of the second and final reading <br />adopting an ordinance regulating the planting of trees In boulevard <br />areas In the Village of Arden Hills, providing a permit procedure, <br />establishing regulatIons for such plantIng, and providing penaltIes <br />tor violation, as amended waiving the third readIng. Seconded by <br />Councilman Crepeau, carrIed. <br /> <br />Roseville - Arden Hills Water Contract <br />Attorney Courtney discussed the status of the Rosevllle- Arden Hills <br />water contract as amended. The Village Attorney expects to have the <br />water contract In final form at the March 25, 1966 Council meeting. <br /> <br />Notice for BIds - Van-type truck <br />Councilman Olmen moved approval of specIfications and that the <br />advertisement for bids for a van-type truck be pub61shed on March 14, <br />1966, sealed bids to be opened at 8:00 p.m. March 25, 1966.
