Courtney, Engineer Donald <br />Lund, Treasurer Worth G. Read, Administrative clerk <br />Lorraine Stromquist and Deputy Clerk Florence Honan. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />The minutes of the Special Council Meeting of January 2, 1968 were <br />approved as submitted. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />New Squad Car t!atter <br /> <br />Atty. Courtney submitted a letter - dated January 8, 1968 - to Clerk <br />Lorraine Stromquist regarding this matter and the specifications for <br />a new squad car. <br /> <br />Councilman Crepeau moved, seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst, that <br />the specifications as submitted by Atty. Courtney be approved, sub- <br />ject to correction of typographical errors; motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Crepeau moved the Clerk be authorized to cause publication <br />of the notice of advertisement of bids in the New Bri~hton Bulletin <br />on January 11, 1968; bids to be opened on January 29, 1968, at 8:00 p.m. <br />at the Village Hall; seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst; motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Lexington Avenue Sewer Extension <br /> <br />Atty. Courtney submitted a letter, dated January 8, 1968, concerning <br />this matter and also a copy of the signed agreement with Riehard and <br />Nadine Sollie accepting the assessment for the extension of the <br />sel-Ier line to service tlTeir property at 3143 North Lexington Avenue. <br /> <br />.,. <br /> <br />Councilman Olman moved, seconded by Councilman Crepeau, approval <br />of the contract with McDonald and Associates to extend this sewer <br />line at a cost within the $1,600.00 limitation set by the Council, <br />subject to a revie~1 by Atty. Courtney; authorized Engr. Lund to p;re- <br />pare specifications, a proposal form, informal bid form and bond <br />for the project, and authori~ed execution of the contract by the <br />Mayor and Cle rk; motion carried. <br /> <br />Arden Hills-Roseville Water Contract <br /> <br />Atty. Courtney had written a letter to Mayor Bjorndahl, with copies <br />to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist, Robert Nethercut, Councilman Crepeau <br />and Bob McNiesh concerning this matter. He informed the Council <br />that he has since talked with Atty. Bell of Roseville and now feels <br />the draft with amendnents may be satisfactory, and Roseville is now <br /><lviai ting word from Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist requested to inform the members of this <br />sub-committee of this status and ask them to contact lIt.ty.
