Dickerson, Ecologist (KES) <br /> <br />Re: Tree Survey – Arden Hills, MN <br /> <br /> <br />Property Information <br />The Northern Heights Lutheran Church is located in Section 21, Township 30N, Range 23W, <br />Arden Hills, Ramsey County, Minnesota. Generally, the site is located northeast of the I-694/I- <br />35W intersection, south of Highway 96 (Figure 1). The site boundaries correspond to Ramsey <br />County PID: 213023110008. <br /> <br />The contact person for this project is Roger Fink with Trident Development LLC. The contact <br />address is 1200 25th Avenue South, St. Cloud, MN 56301. <br /> <br />The ~41-acre site is comprised of religious buildings, parking lots, wetlands, and woodlands. <br />The woodland is mostly naturally occurring with some aesthetically planted portions. A figure <br />showing the tree locations (Figure 2) and a table indicating the species, caliper inches (also <br />known as Diameter at Breast Height or DBH), number of stems, and conditions are found below. <br /> <br />Tree Survey Requirements per the City of Arden Hills <br />Development of this site requires that a tree survey be completed for sound deciduous hardwood <br />trees measuring greater than ten inches in diameter, deciduous softwood trees measuring greater <br />than 12 inches in diameter, or evergreen trees greater than 15 feet in height. Clumps of trees near <br />site boundaries with diameters greater than 8 inches are also considered significant per the City <br />of Arden Hills; Tree Preservation Ordinance. For tree removal, this ordinance also includes <br />Subd. 5. A. 1. Tree Removal Allowance. Mitigation shall not be required for removing, cutting, <br />or killing trees when: Fewer than ten (10) percent of the total caliper inches of the significant <br />trees on the property are cut, removed, or killed. Dead trees are included in Figure 2 but the <br /> Attachment L
