Minutes of Regu~ar Council Meeting -2- October 26, 1970 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk Administrato,- Stromquist advised that writi'en notices have <br />been sent to property owners In Water Imp. 68-3, advising them of <br />the Supplementary Public Hearing on Monday, Nov. 9, 1970, at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The Council scheduled a Special Council meeting to be held on <br />Thursday, Oct. 29,1970 at 11:00 a.m. to consider Sanitary Sewer <br />assessment adjustment requests. <br /> <br />McDonald Lumber Co.. 4979 Highway 10, Mr. & Mrs. I. Giere, 4275 <br />N. Hamllne Ave., and Mrs, Oswald Tschida, 1445 Floral Drive were <br />present and requested sewer assessment adjustments - San. Sewer Imp. <br />12 & 13. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Improvement 12 - 13 - Sug~ested Change Order <br />Engineer Lund presented the estimated construction cost and plan <br />for proposed San. Sewer construction west of Lakeshore Place, <br />locating a sewer ~jne along the rear of the properties, providing <br />Immediate hookups, as had previously been requested. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Stromquist was requested to talk with the pro- <br />perty owners re gl-an"ring of free easements across rear yards vs <br />front hook-ups, and to advise the Counc! I. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund advised the Council that the estimated amount of final <br />construction cost of Project I, Sewer Imp. !2 and 13, wi II be <br />$54,673.85 below the contract amount. (Estimate attached.) <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Imp. 16 and Water lm~. 70-1 <br />Engineer Lund advised the Council that the plans are ready for <br />San. Sewer Imp. 16 and Water Imp. 70-1, but the specifications are <br />not ready, to date. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Stromquist was requested to contact Hage Construction <br />Co. re Its construction time table; bid date to be scheduled by <br />the Council In accordance with the construction time table. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Imp. 15 - Gideo Construction Co. - Estimate I <br />Engineer Lund presented, and recommended payment, of Estimate !, <br />Gldeo Construction Co., San. Sewer Imp, 15. <br /> <br />Water Imp. 68-3, Northern Contracting Co. - Estimate 7 <br />Engineer Lund presented Estimate 7, Northern Contracting Co., and <br />recommended payment and reduction of retalnage to 5%. <br /> <br />Councilman Henderson moved approval of the 5% retention; seconded by <br />Councilman Olmen; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Herrick moved approval of payment of Estimate 7 on Nov. <br />9, 1970; seconded by Councilman Olmen; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Fairview and County Road F - Pondlng Water Problem <br />Councilman Herrick requested the status of the proposed correction <br />of the water problem at the Intersection of County Road F and <br />Falrvlew Ave. Maintenance Supervisor Beecher stated that the County <br />has agreed to do the grading, If Arden Hills will take care of the <br />blacktopping. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund was requested to try to expedite the project In an <br />effort to resolve the matter this week. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER WORTH G.
