Cleveland Ave. <br /> Mr. George Roscoe, operator of the Texaco station at County Road <br /> o and Cleveland Ave. expressed a desire to service ~nd sell snow- <br /> mob I I es in conjunction with the service station busIness. <br /> It was determined that because of the R-2 zoning, a Special or <br /> Temporary permi1 cannot be C'~'i"lsid'3red. <br /> REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> Maintenance of Boulevard Trees <br /> Attorney Courtney referred the Counct'1 to Vi Ilage Ordinance 104, <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PLANTING OF TREES IN BOULEVARD AREAS <br /> IN THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS, PROVIDING A PERMit PROCEDURE, <br /> ESTABLiSHING PLANTING, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION. <br /> He stated that if additional reguiations or changes are recom- <br /> mended, this ordinance can be amended to Include them. <br /> Explosives - Ordinance Draft <br /> An ordinance draft re explosives was presented for consideration <br /> by the Counci I . <br /> It was moved by Councilman Hollenhorst and seconded by Councilman <br /> Henderson that AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE MANUFACTURE, STORAGE, <br /> HANDLING, USE AND SALE OF EXPLOSIVES AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR <br /> VIOLATION THEREOF. be Introduced by title and ref'erred to the <br /> Public Safety Committee for recommendations; motl,on carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Pre-payments on Assessments - Ordinance Draft <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herrick that AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING <br /> PARTIAL PRE-PAYMENTS OF ASSESSMENT BEFORE CERTIFICATION OF THE <br /> ASSESSMENT ROLL TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR. be Introduced by title, <br /> seconded by Councilman Henderson; motion carried unanimously. <br /> Animal Control Agreement <br /> Attorney Courtney reviewed his letter of Sept. 28, 1970 re the <br /> Animal Control Agreement. His letter and the Agreement were <br /> referred to the Pub II c Safety Comm I ttee for study and recommendat Ions <br /> to the Counc i I . <br /> REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> (Absent) <br /> Clerk Administrator Stromquist distributed three letter reports <br /> to the Council, prepared by Engineer Lund re: <br /> I. Snelling Ave. Reconstruction. <br /> 2. Trunk Highway turn back from Minnesota Highway Department. <br /> 3. County Road F Utilities Study. <br /> After a brief discussion, all three letters were referred to the <br /> Public Works Committee and the Planning Commission for recom- <br /> . mendatlons to the Coun~ll. <br /> REPORT'OF BUILDING INSPECTOR CLAY KELLEY <br /> None. <br /> .
