Special Use Permit Request - Mr. James Adams <br /> Mr. James Adams was present at the meeting. <br /> Counci ImanHollenhorst reviewed Attorney Courtney's letter of Oct. <br /> 6, 1970, and Planner Richard Shetler's memorandum and planning <br /> report, dated Oct. 6, 1970 (attached/. He then reviewed the <br /> Planning Commission's recommendations and moved that the Special <br /> Use Permit request be denied on the basis that "mobile home parks" <br /> is listed as a prohibited use in Ordinance 99; motion seconded <br />'t. by Councilman Herrick and carried unanimously. <br /> Councilman Hollenhorst moved that Amendments to the Arden Hills <br /> Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance 99) be Introduced by title (attached); <br /> motion was seconded by Councilman Herrick and carried unanimOUSly. <br /> Attorney Courtney was requested to prepare the ordinance draft <br /> for Council consideration on Oct. 26, 1970. <br /> Valentine Park - Tree Planting Proposal <br /> Councilman Hollenhorst moved concurrence with the Planning Com- <br /> mission's recommendation to approve the Valentine Park Tree Planting <br /> Plan; motion was seconded by Councilman Herrick and carried <br /> .unanlmously. <br /> Plannlnq Commission Resignation <br /> Councilman Hollenhorst notified the Council of the resignation <br /> of Mr. James Plemmons from the Planning Commission; Mr. Plemmons <br /> Is moving to California. <br /> Mr. Hollenhorst requested that a letter be sent to Mr. Plemmons, <br /> thanking him for his services to the VI!lage. <br /> Planning Commission Meeting of Oct. 6, !970 <br /> Counc! Iman Hollenhorst briefly reviewed pending Planning Commission <br /> cases and the status of each. <br /> Clerk Administrator Stromquist was requested to send a letter and <br /> copy of Planner Report re Conditions of Industrial Park, dated <br /> Aug. 17, 1970, to each business place. <br /> REPORT OF COUNCILMAN RONALD HERRICK - Parks & Recreation and Human <br /> Rights <br /> Human Rights Commission <br /> Councilman Herrick advised the Councl I of a survey proposed by the <br /> Urban League, requesting participation by Arden Hills. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herrick and seconded by Councilman <br /> Henderson that the Counci I supports the Arden HI lis Human Rights <br /> Commission and Its participation In the St. Paul Urban League <br /> Profile Survey; motion carried unanimously. <br /> REPORT OF COUNCILMAN E. GRAY HENDERSON - Finance & Municipal <br /> Administration Land & Buildings <br /> Bond Sale Calendar <br /> (See above report - Peter S. Popovich) <br /> Letter to Taxpayers <br /> Copies of a letter to Arden Hi lis Taxpayers, prepared by the <br /> Finance Committee, were distributed to the Council for app rova I . <br /> After review, the Council approved releasing the letter to the <br />. newspapers for publication. <br /> Insurance Program <br /> Councilman Henderson advised that the Finance Committee recommends <br /> that a disinterested analysis of the Vii lage !nsurance Program be <br />. made. and moved approval of the expenditure for the analysis not <br /> to exceed $500.
