Minutes of Regular Counci I Meeting J u ! y i3, 1970 Accounting Machine Purchase Mayor Crepeau reported that after study the Council has determined that the Village accounting and utility bi~ ling can be done more ,economically with an accounting machine. After discussion of the matter motion was made by Councilman Ronald Herrick. seconded by Councilman John Hoilenhorst. that the Council authorizes the purchase of one previously leased Mode! 395 National Cash Register accounting machine @ $8.500.00. less $100.00 trade-in allowance tor Village owned accounting machine plus 2 additional program panels @ $195.00 each. with the provision that we are to receive a machine Ii to 2 years old or less; that the company will guarantee to carry a maintenance contract for at least a years, and that the Village Attorney approves the purchase contract. The machine is to be paid for from the Genera! Fund with a determination to be made by the Council later In 1970 as to what portion Is to be charged to Sewer and Water Uti lity funds and whether at not to borrow from existing sinking funds to enable a spread of the cost for the machine over more than the one (I) year period and that the Clerk Administrator be authorized to purchase forms and equipment which wi I! be needed tor the accounting machine as follows: One time cost for trays to hold record cards, utility ledgers. etc. plus storage cabinet fo~ trays. Approximately $300.00. Forms. Inetude uti lity billing cards or envelopes and bills tor at least one (I) year. Approximately $500.00 to 650.00; cost to be paid equally from Genera! Fund. Water Utility Fund and Sewer Utility Fund. Motion carried unanimously. REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR LORRAINE STROMQUIST Garbage and Rubbish Hauler Licenses Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist presented five (5) renewal license applications for Garbage and Rubbish Haulers for Council approval: Suburban Pickup. Inc. J & W Pickup Service Gallaghers Service, Inc. All-State Disposal Service Rubbish Removal, Inc. It was moved by Councilman Ronald Herrick that the ~icenses be ap- proved as submitted, subject to approval of the VI I~age Health Officer; motion was seconded by Counci Iman John Hoilenhorst and carried unan1mously.
