Minutes of Regular Counci I Meeting <br /> <br />June 8, 1970 <br /> <br />Minnesota Plumbin~ Code <br />Attorney Courtney read AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE MINNESOTA <br />PLUMBING CODE AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ViOLATION THE~EOF. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Ronald Herrick that the third reading be <br />waived and that the Counci J adopt the ordinance as read; seconded <br />by Councilman John Holtenhorst, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist was asked to prepare the <br />ordinance for publication. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Columbia Transit Request for Sanitary Sewer <br />Engineer Donald Lund advised the Councl I that a rough construction <br />cost estimate, made some time ago for the extension of the sewer line <br />to serve the Columbia Transit property on County Road F, was In the <br />amount of $5,600.00. <br /> <br />After discussion, the Counci I requested Engineer Lund to prepare a <br />formal report; requesting that he advise Columbia Transit that sewer <br />can be provided to serve their property. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 14 <br />Engineer Donald Lund presented three alternate plans for the routing <br />of a portion of Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 14. <br /> <br />After discussion and review of the three alternate plans, the Council <br />determined Plan C to be the most feasible, requesting Engineer Lund <br />to proceed with Plan C, as presented. <br /> <br />Valentine Park - Parking of Water Construction Equipment <br />Counci Iman Ronald Herrick Inquired as to how long gravel and sand wi II <br />be stock-pi led and construction equipment wi II be parked on Valentine <br />Pal"k. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund advised that no permission has been granted to the <br />contractor for the use of this park, as far as he knows, but he assured <br />the Council If permission Is granted for this purpose, It would be <br />needed for just a few days. <br /> <br />Councilman Herrick advised that this would not present a problem if <br />the equipment wi II be moved in a few days. <br /> <br />Count Road F Water Construction Com laint - Mrs. Galus Harmon <br />Mrs. Galus Harmon, 16 I .est County Road F, reported that Northdale <br />Construction Company is disturbing private property beyond the street <br />rlght-ot-way line, taking down trees unnecessarily, and driving equipment <br />onto private property to turn around. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund advised the Counci i that he met with Mrs. Harmon and the <br />contractor, Northdaie Construction Company, advising the contractor <br />to stay on the street right-of-way. <br /> <br />Mrs. Harmon stated that this order is not being obeyed. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney advised that the contractor should not trespass onto <br />private p~operty, no easements have been obTained in this area. <br /> <br />The matte~ was referred to Engineer Don Lund. <br /> <br />REPORT OF BUilDING iNSPECTOR CLAY KELLEY <br /> <br />An oral report was given by Building Inspector Clay Kelley, citing <br />several areas of filling in the VI liege. A written report dated <br />June 5, 1970 was submitted by Mr. Kelley for review by fhe Council. <br /> <br />After discussion, It was determined by the Counci~ that all fill and <br />grading applications be submitted to the Council for approval~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
