<br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Councl I Meeting <br /> <br />June 8, 1970 <br /> <br />It was moved by Councliman John Hollenhorst that the filling and <br />grading permit applications and ordinances be referred to the Planning <br />Commission for revIew; seconded by Counci Iman Ronald Herrick; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Building Inspector Clay Kelley submitted an application to the <br />Counci 1 from Mr. George Indykiewicz, requesting permission to <br />continue his mining and excavating of land on the north and south sides <br />of Highway 96, west of Highway 10. The application was referred <br />to the Planning Commission for recommendations to the Council. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JOHN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />Case No. 70-13, Albert J. Hei", Jr. - Special Use Permit <br />It was moved by Councilman John Hollenhorst.that the Special Use <br />Permit be approved as recommended by the Planning Commission on June <br />2, 1970; seconded by Counci Iman Stanley Olmen; motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Case No. 70-19. Minnesota Baptist Conference - Special Use Permit <br />After review of the proposal by Minnesota Baptist Conference repre- <br />sentatives and Architect Roger Johnson. and discussion by the Council, <br />it was moved by Councilman John Hollenhorst that the Special Use <br />Permit be approved as recommended by the Planning Commission on <br />June 2, 1970, subject to a resolution including the fol lowing pro- <br />visions: <br /> <br />I. The Council does not feel that the aforesaid use of said <br />property wil I, in any way, detract from the suburban residential <br />characteristics of the area. <br /> <br />2. It should in no way be anticipated that future buildings of <br />a commercial nature will be allowed along County Road E2. <br /> <br />3. If the property or building, subject to said Special Use <br />Permit. should be sold In the future it shalt be sold only <br />to another institutional or church affiliated group, with <br />the provision that the Village Council review and approve the <br />matter before any such safe of said property is made. <br /> <br />Council action was tabled until the resolution is prepared for Councl I <br />review on June 29, 1970. <br /> <br />Case No. 68-12, W. C. Reeves - Special USe Permit <br />Councilman John Hollenhorst reYlewed the proposal for the Councl I and <br />moved that the Special Use Permit be approved, as recommended by the <br />Planning Commission, in accordance with the revised plans presented <br />on June 2, 1970; seconded by Councilman E. Gray Henderson; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case No. 70-22. Hamms Brewlnq Company - SpeCial Use Permit <br />Counci lman John Ho! lenhorst reported that a Public Hearing has been <br />scheduled by the Planning Commission on July 7, 1970 re the outside <br />gas tank on the Hamms Brewing Company site at 1300 Gray Fox Road. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 99, Service Station Proposed Amendment <br />Councilman Hollenhorst advised the Counc~1 that the Planning Commission <br />recommends that the present zoning be retained. <br /> <br />Garage Door Height Ordinance <br />Counci lman Hollenhorst advised the Council of the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation of an eight foot (8 ft.) garage door height !Imitation <br />in residential areas. The matter was referred to Attorney Courtney to <br />prepare the ordinance draft. <br /> <br />Landscape Plans Pending Completion: <br /> <br />Case No. 69-1, Advanced Design Laborator~ <br />The Counci I approved the fandscape plans, dated June 2, !970, as <br />. recommended, by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
