<br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Counci I Meeting <br /> <br />June 8, 1970 <br /> <br />Case No. 66-16, Proto Sheet Metal Company <br />The metter was referred to Attorney Courtney and Clay Kelley to <br />enforce installation of landscaping at the Proto Sheet Metal Company <br />site in accordance with approved landscape plans. <br /> <br />Village Properties: <br /> <br />I. Village Hail - The Council requested EngIneer Don Lund to up- <br />date the landscape plans and prepare a cost <br />estimate for Council review. <br />2. Water Tower - Engineer Don Lund and Public Works Supervisor <br />Everett Beecher were requested to determine <br />responsibility for the overflow and leakage of <br />the water tower and consequent damage. to the <br />landscaping of the water tower site. The site <br />is to be seeded or sodded and maintaIned. <br />3. Booster Station - The Council requested that the property be <br />graded and seeded or SOdded; Engineer Lund to <br />prepare plans and cost estimate to Include <br />driveway, and submit for bids. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNC I LMAN RONALD I-lERR I CK - Parks and Recreat I on and Human RI ghts <br /> <br />Valentine Park Improvement. Trench Project <br />Matter tabled until June 29, 1970 Council meeting. <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Appointment <br />It was moved by Councilman Ronald Herrick and seconded by Councilman <br />John Hollenhorst that the Council approve the appointment of Phillipa <br />Lindquist to the Parks and'Recreation Committee; motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Ingerson Park - House Destruction <br />Councilman Herrick reported that the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />recommends that the house on the Ingerson Park site be destroyed. The <br />matter was referred to Attorney Courtney and Fire Chief Harry Ehlers <br />to arrange for burning of the house. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN E. GRAY HENDERSON - Finance and Municipal Lands <br />and Bu i I dings <br /> <br />Census Report <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist advised the Council ot a verbal <br />report she received from Mrs. Freeman,Census Bureau, advising that <br />Arde~ Hills now has a population of 5,662. <br /> <br />After receipt of a written report, verifying the population figure <br />as quoted, Clerk AdminIstrator Lorraine Stromquist was asked to request <br />Attorney Courtney to proceed with the land transfer with New Brighton. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCilMAN STANLEY OLMEN - Public Works <br /> <br />Nc report. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR HENRY J.
