MINUTES CONCERNING HUNTER ' S PARK <br />411 1972 <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Minutes : March <br />1 <br />The representatives from the Dreyfus Development Corpora- <br />tion presented their preliminary plans for the development of land <br />on Lexington north of Tiller Lane . They discussed density , open <br />space , recreational facilities , drainage , etc . , and asked whether <br />the Committee policy sought land within the development for public <br />recreation , or monies to be allocated elsewhere for the approxi - <br />mately 650 people they plan for . <br />April <br />A letter was drafted to the Dreyfus Development Corpora- <br />tion and applicable to other large developers , specifying that <br />10% of each development exclusive of parking lots , streets , side- <br />walks and maintenance buildings be maintained as open space . In <br />addition , there must be one acre of developed active recreational <br />facilities for every I00 people living in the development . These <br />facilities are to be completed by the developer and then main - <br />tained as part of the Village Park System . A completion schedule <br />for these recreational facilities is to be submitted to the Parks <br />and Recreation Committee for their prior approval . A list of <br />examples of approved recreational facilities was included . This <br />letter will be sent to the Village Council for their approval . <br />July <br />Representatives from Dreyfus discussed their latest de- <br />signs and plans for recreation areas within the proposed develop - <br />ment . The Committee feels that additional facilities , not <br />necessarily using large land areas , are needed for use of residents <br />within the area . Upon receipt of a map , each committee member
