Name of Park : INGERSON PARK <br />Size : 5 acres <br />Legal Description : <br />That part of Government Lot Six ( 6) , Section 34 , Township <br />30 , Range 23 described as follows : Commencing at the southeast <br />corner of said Government Lot 6 , thence north 329 .41 feet along <br />the east line of said Government Lot 6 ; thence west 655 .31 feet <br />to a point 329 .51 feet north of the south line of said Govern - <br />ment Lot 6; thence south 329 .51 feet to said south line of <br />Government Lot 6 ; thence east 655 feet to place of commencement, <br />containing 5 acres, more or less , subject to highway easement <br />over east 33 feet, and subject to sewer easement of record . <br />Acquisition : <br />Five acres purchased from Wayne Hersman on April 3, 1967 <br />for $21 ,000 . <br />Type of Park Anticipated : <br />Neighborhood park serving the southwest residents of Area <br />3 . <br />Ultimate Use : <br />The goals of the planner were to insure the preservation of <br />the dramatic terrain leaving the north two-thirds of the park as <br />a natural play area , winter sliding and summer balifield .
