MINUTES CONCERNING INGERSON PARK
1967
Parks and Recreation Committee Minutes : January
Negotiations for the piece of land west of Lexington
and north of Lake Josephine , near Ingerson Road , are almost
completed . The purchase price for approximately 5 acres is
21 , 000 of which $ 10 , 000 will be paid down .
February
The people renting houses on our new property near
Lake Josephine and Ingerson Road have been told of the Village
purchase . The old buildings must be removed . One house and
a double garage will remain . A suggestion was made that the
Police Department move into the house . The building would then
be occupied , and the move would also be an improvement for the
police . We can move Parks equipment out of the garage as well .
An old foundation of the site can possibly be used to store
seasonal equipment such as hockey rink boards . The ice ( ? )
might also be used as a sundeck . A wrecking company will be con-
tacted for the demolition of the other buildings .
1969
May
Mrs . Hass and Mrs . Bjorndahl expressed their interest
in having the Josephine Garden Club conduct a questionnaire in
the Ingerson Park vicinity as a first step in organizing and de-
