Woodburn <br />submitted $200 to the owner to hold the property for Council <br />consideration until June 10 , 1969. $ 10 ,000 is included in the <br />1969 budget for Civic Center development . <br />Dr . Woodburn informed the Council that if it is not <br />interested in the site for a Civic Center , the Parks and Recrea- <br />tion Committee would like to consider it for the expansion of <br />Floral Park. <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved the matter be referred to <br />the Planning Commission . <br />May <br />Council discussed the purchase of 9 acres of land <br />partially abutting the northern boundary of the Village-owned <br />Floral Park. Mayor Bjorndahl felt the additional land might be <br />sufficient , if added to Floral Park, to accommodate both the <br />park and Civic Center and felt this should be considered . <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved , seconded by Councilman <br />Henderson , that the land be purchased , with the use to be deter- <br />mined later, subject to Attorney Courtney ' s title opinion , <br />motion carried unanimously . <br />June <br />Attorney Salaand informed the Council by letter that <br />the purchase contract for the Village purchase of about 9 acres <br />of land from Amos Gale will be closed on June 10 , 1969 . <br />June-- <br />Council discussed the advantages of using the recently
