i <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR <br />IIITENNIS COURT CONSTRUCTION <br />Arden Manor , Arden Hills , Finn . <br />I . General <br />A. DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br />The work included under this contract will include furnishing <br />the necessary labor and material to complete the tennis court i <br />construction as shown on the attached plans . <br />1 <br />Arden Manor will construct the suborade to appropriate sub- <br />orade in preparation the tennis court construction . Arden <br />Manor shall be responsible for constructing the balance of <br />the courts and their appurtenances to a finished state ready <br />for play . The city will supply the tennis nets . <br />b . SPECIFICATIONS WHICH APPLY <br />All Standard Specifications for Hiohway construction of the <br />Minnesota Department of Highways dated June I , 1972 and the <br />Supplement to these Specifications dated January I , 1974 shall <br />apply except as modified herein . <br />C. MATERIALS CONTROL <br />SThe Contractor shall provide certified copies of tests on the <br />materials furnished or be able to substantiate in a manner <br />suitable to the city that the materials conform to the Speci - <br />fications . If the contractor is unable to do this , he shall <br />pay for the cost of testing the materials in an approved <br />laboratory and said costs are considered incidental to the <br />furnishing of materials and no additional payment will be <br />made for such tests . <br />D. STAKING <br />Horizontal and vertical control will be given by Arden Manor <br />and will be re-staked by Arden Manor as necessary to maintain <br />control . The horizontal and vertical control must be approved <br />by the City Engineer and Park Director . <br />E . WORKMANSHIP <br />Arden Manor shall exercise all necessary precautions to insurethatthesurfaceofthecourtisnotdamageddurinnconstuc- <br />tion . No marks or depressions shall be allowed in the final <br />surface of the court.
