4- <br />Feb ruary <br />Councilman Crichton reported on the business pertaining <br />to the Parks and Recreation . C . G . Rein has agreed to dedicate a <br />total of 10 . 321 acres in the Johanna West area , 2 .039 acres <br />available for city purchase . <br />C . G . Rein - Park Dedication Proposal - Mr . Randy <br />Samuelson , C . G . Rein Company , was present and reviewed the pro- <br />posed parkland configuration with the Council , proposing : <br />Park dedication for Cleveland and Stowe property 5 .946 acres <br />Park dedication for Lexington & County Rd . E property 4 . 375 acres <br />City to purchase from C . G . Rein 2 .038 acres <br />Total park 12 .360 acres <br />In discussion of the total park, Council expressed con- <br />cern that size of park is in excess of Village need in this area , <br />and that two lots, north of the proposed park, appear to be land- <br />locked . <br />Various alternate configurations were discussed to <br />reduce total park to approximately II acres+ , after which Crichton <br />moved , seconded by Feyereisen , that Council authorize the accep - <br />tance of the park area delineated on drawing dated 2/ 11 /75 , as <br />amended on 2/24/75 by line perpendicular to power easement, from <br />power easement to northwest corner of Lot 3, Block 1 , Rose Lang ' s <br />Addition ( on Jerrold Avenue) - total park to be approximately <br />11 .66 acres . Motion carried unanimously . <br />Council noted that it is understood that the Village <br />will purchase the parkland , in 'excess of the dedications ( 10 .321 <br />acres ) , at a rate of $8,000/acre , to provide a total park area of <br />11 .66 acres+) .
