Crepeau, Jr, at <br />8:02 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Stanley Ormen, <br />John Hollenhorst and E. Gray Henderson <br />Absent: Councilman Ronald Herrick <br />Also present: Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist, Treasurer <br />Worth Read, Engineer Donald Lund, Maintenance Supervisor <br />Everett Beecher and Assistant Clerk, Administration Dorothy <br />Zehm <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Supplemental Assessment on land Parcel In Water Improvement 67-2 - <br />Robert W. Hames <br />Property owner Robert W. Hames was present. <br /> <br />Mayor Henry J, Crepeau opened the Public Hearing at 8:05 p.m. <br /> <br />After an explanation by Attorney Courtney, It was moved by Councilman <br />John Hollenhorst and seconded by Councilman Stanley Olmen that Council <br />adopt the attached resolution abating the assessment and authorizing <br />the reimbursement to Mr. Hames: motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 8:09 p.m. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />~anltary Sewer Ordinance Amendment - Final Draft <br />Attorney Courtney read the ordinance draft In Its entirety, <br /> <br />it was moved by Councilman Stanley Olmen that the rules be waived and <br />that Council adopt, as read, AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCES NOS, <br />47, 55, 72 and 82, ALL RELATiNG TO MAINTENANCE OF THE ARDEN HILLS' <br />SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND CONNECTIONS THEREFROM TO ROSEVILLE AND ST. <br />PAUL. The motion was seconded by Councilman John Hol lenhorst and <br />carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Phi lip Sampson Property <br />Attorney Courtney advised the Council that In recent correspondence <br />from Mr. Sampson's attorney, Mr, Sampson requested abatement of texes <br />and assessments on the formerly described property, payable in 1970, <br />as compensation for the land grant to the Village, <br /> <br />After Council discussion, It was determined that the matter be deferred <br />until the amount of taxes and ~ssessments can be determined. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist was requested to obtain the <br />amount of the apportionment of taxes payable In 1970 and report to <br />the Council. Attorney Courtney was requested to Inform Mr. Sampson's <br />attorney of the Council's action. <br /> <br />Request for Change of License - McGu!res <br />Attorney Courtney advised the Counc!~ that Attorney Richard Meyers Is <br />preparing the necessary papers; that nQ Council action Is required <br />until a release of the present license and application for a new <br />license are prepared for approval by the Council, <br /> <br />Acquisition for Sanitary Sewer Easements 12-2 and 12-4 <br />Attorney Courtney advised that Attorney James Linden has obtained <br />an Earnest Money Contract from Mr, RoswelD Taylor, In the amount of <br />.$2,500,00, for the 11ft station site and permanent and temporary <br />, construction easements; Mr. Taylor to pay taxes and assessments due <br />~... and payable in 1970; taxes to be abated for succeeding years. <br />
