<br />.. ..-. <br />Minutes of Regular Counc!1 Meeting <br /> <br />May I I, ! 970 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Proposed Zonln~ Ordinance Amendment - Off-Street Parkln~ In <br />Residential Areas <br />It was moved by Councilman John Hollenhorst that AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 99, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO PROVIDE NEW <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR OFF-STREET PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS, be <br />Introduced by title and referred to the Planning Commission; <br />seconded by Councilman Stanley Olmen. Discussion on the motion <br />resulted In the withdrawal of the motion by Councilman John <br />Hollenhorst. <br /> <br />Councilman Ronald Herrick moved that the matter be tabled until It <br />can be determined there Is a definite need for this control; seconded <br />by Councilman E. Gray Henderson; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Proposed Zonln~ Ordinance Amendment - Under~round Utilities <br />Attorney Courtney advised that this ordInance wi II be difficult for <br />Arden Hills to regulate and referred the Council to his letter of <br />May 8, 1970, In which he raised many questions. He advised that <br />he has sent a copy of the proposed ordinance to the league for Its <br />comments and recommended that copies also be sent to Northwestern <br />Bell Telephone Company and Northern States Power Company and that <br />the matter be referred to the Planning Commission. The Council <br />concurred with the Attorney's recommendations. <br /> <br />Resolution Re Abatement of Assessment - Hames Property <br />It was moved by Councilman E. Gray Henderson that the Resolution <br />Setting Public Hearing Re Supplemental Assessment on Parcel In <br />Water Improvement 67-2, be adopted, setting the date for Public <br />Hearing on Monda~ May 25~ 1970 at 8:00 p.m. at the Village Hall. <br /> <br />(Clerk Administrator was requested to Insert date. of certification.> <br /> <br />Proposed Ordinance Repealln~ Ordinances 47, 55, 72 and 82 as Related <br />to Roseville - Arden Hills Sewer Contract <br />It was moved by Councilman Ronald Herrick that AN ORDINANCE REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE NOS. 47, 55, 72 and 82, ALL RELATING TO MAINTENANCE OF THE <br />ARDEN HilLS' SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND CONNECTIONS THEREFROM TO <br />ROSEVILLE AND SAINT PAUL. be Introduced by title, seconded by <br />Councilman E. Gray Henderson; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Proposed Audit Contract, HUD Accounts for Water Improvements 68-2 <br />and 68-3 <br />After review of two audit contract estimates received from George M. <br />Hansen and Mr. John Matllla, It was moved by Councilman E. Gray <br />Henderson that the Councl! accept the ~eorge M. Hansen Company bid <br />and approve the audit contract, seconded by Councilman John Hollenhorst; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney was requested to send the executed contract to <br />Gaorge M. Hansen Company. Clerk Administrator Lorra!ne Stromquist <br />was requested to notify Mr. Matllla of the Councli's decision. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCilMAN JOHN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />Case No. 70-15. Dale Anderber~ - Variance Request <br />Mrs. Anderberg explained that the variance request is necessitated <br />because of an error In locating the starting point In accordance <br />with the property survey, when constructing a house at 1849 Noble <br />Road. Because of the error, the house Is located approximately 9* <br />feet, rather than 10 feet, from one ~lde property line. <br /> <br />After discussion, It was moved by Councilman John Hol ienhorst that <br />the variance be approved If Attorney Courtney determines that the <br />approval will not Jeopardize the Village In the event of future <br />prosecution; seconded by Councilman Ronald Herrick; motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
