Read, Attorney Vincent P. Courtney, Engineer <br />Donald Lund, Maintenance Supervisor Everett Beecher <br />and Deputy Clerk Florence M. Honan <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of April 13, 1970, <br />were approved as amended by the foil owl ng act I on: <br /> <br />Councilman Herrick moved, seconded by Councilman Olmen, to repeal <br />the maIntenance department employees' rate increase as stated <br />on Page 4 of the April 13, 1970 mInutes; motIon carrIed unanImously. <br /> <br />Councilman Herrick moved, seconded by Councilman Olmen, approval <br />of the attached rate schedule pertaining to maintenance depart- <br />ment employees' rates, effectIve as of January I, 1970; motion <br />carried unanImously. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Case No. 70-10. Sitzmark Ski Shop <br />CouncIlman HerrIck moved, seconded by Councilman Olmen, approval <br />of the issuance of a building permIt to William Wegleltner for <br />the construction of a ski chalet at LexIngton Avenue and County <br />Road E, and approval of waiving of the requirements of the Sub- <br />dIvision OrdInance, subject to Ramsey County approvIng the <br />proposed curb cut and the submission to the PlannIng Commission <br />of a detailed site plan. a,ll In accordance with recommendations <br />of the Planning Commission of April 21, 1970; motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Wegleltner, the applicant, was present. <br /> <br />Dumpln~ ComplaInts <br />Mr. Hunce Lagerstrom, 3255 Sandeen Road, complained about a <br />dump area on Lake Johanna Blvd. near the beach crossing sign. <br /> <br />Mr. Lagerstrom also complained about a dump area In New Brighton <br />near the viaduct on New BrIghton Road. <br /> <br />Mr. Ralph Perry, 3670 New Brighton Road, complained of a dump <br />area between 1-35W and County Road E2 (State property). <br /> <br />Mayor Crepeau advised that the matters wIll be Investigated. <br /> <br />SanItary ,Sewer No. 14 <br />Mr. Tom Campbell, 3707 New BrIghton Road, requested the location <br />of the sewer line to serve his property. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund Informed him that these pians have been tabled, <br />pending study by the Public Works and Finance Committees. <br /> <br />Mr. Campbell also inquired as to the service for the house next <br />to hIs. <br /> <br />En~lneer Lund Informed hIm that further study has determIned <br />that basement service can be provided to the front of his house. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />,," <br /> <br />Tax Forfeited Land Deeds. Vilia~e AcquIsition <br />A1'torney Courtney reported that he now has the deeds to' the tax' <br />forfeIted properties to be used for recreational purposes by the <br />Village. The legal descriptions will be checked and, If satiSfactory, <br />the deeds will be tIled. <br />
