<br />Minutes of Regular Counei I Meeting <br />4- <br /> <br />April 27, 1970 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Tax Forfeited Land Resolution <br />Motion by Councilman Herrick, seconded by Counci Iman Olmen, to <br />adopt a Resolution, as attached, Regarding Non-Conservation <br />Tax Forfeited Land Parcels; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Water Rates, Proposed Ordinance <br />Attorney Courtney's letter. dated April 21, 1910, was reviewed. <br />It stated that new rates should be set by Ordinance Instead of <br />by Resolution. <br /> <br />PlanninQ Commission Alternates <br />Councilman Olmen Introduced by title, and referred to the Planning <br />Commission, AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 122 AND AMENDING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 25, RE THE PLANNING COMMISSION, TO PROVIDE FOR THE <br />APPOINTMENT AND POWERS OF ALTERNATES, seconded by Councilman <br />Herrick; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HUD Re~ulsltlon No. ! <br />Councl man Herrick moved, seconded by Councilman Olmen, approval <br />of Requisition No. I to HUD for $228,500 for Water Improvements <br />68-2 and 68-3; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Proposed HUD AuditlnQ Contract <br />After Councl I discussion, Councilman Olmen moved, seconded by <br />Councilman Herrick, that Mrs. Stromquist obtain an estimate <br />from a second auditing firm for the HUD accounts; if such bid is <br />equal to, or more than, $125, approval is given tor George M. <br />Hansen Company to audit the accounts; If less than $125, the <br />matter Is to be rereferred to the Council; motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br /> <br />Burning Control Matter, <br />Attorney Courtney's letter of April 21, 1910 was reviewed. The <br />Council postponed further action on the proposed burning ordinance <br />until the May 25 Council meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Ramsey County Ditch No. 12 <br />The meeting between Arden Hills, Shoreview and Ramsey County <br />was reviewed by Engineer Lund. A cost report and drainage plans <br />are to be submitted to Arden Hills from Shorevlew in the near <br />future. <br /> <br />Concrete Curb ReQuest, Tliler lane <br />A letter from W. G. Haberstroh, 1201 Tiller lane, requested an <br />estimate for concrete curb and gutters along Tiller Lane. Engineer <br />Lund reported that from his .informal rou9h~estimate the project <br />would cost about $10,500. with 2,300 feet of assessible property <br />at an estimated $4.55 per front foot. <br /> <br />The Council requested Mrs. Stromquist to Inform the residents of <br />the area of the estimated cost and, If they stili desire the pro- <br />ject, a petition should be submitted. <br /> <br />Under the present contract, residents are paying for and receiving <br />. run-off curb only. <br /> <br />Lake Johanna Outlet Report <br />Engineer Lund submitted a study, dated April 14, 1970, on the <br />Lake Johanna outlet; copies were distributed to the Council. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JOHN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />Case No. 10 -I O. S I t%..ark_~!<: I ShOll <br />Mr. Larry McGough. Chairman of the Planning Commission, was <br />present. Mayor Crepeau advised him ot the Council action taken <br />on this matter (see Page I, under BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Case No. 10-5A, Continental 011 Company <br />At the request of Continental 011 Company.
