CREPEAU, JR. - General Government and <br />Pub II c Safety <br /> <br />United Nations' Day Proclamation <br />Mayor Crepeau proclamed October 24, 1970, as United Nations' <br />Day In the Village of Arden HI lis and appointed the Arden Hills <br />League of Women Voters to plan its observation. Mrs. Stromquist <br />was requested to assist the League. <br /> <br />Transit Seminar <br />A Transit Seminar, sponsored by the League of Minnesota Munici- <br />palities, will be held May 9, 9 a.m. to I p.m., at the Alexander <br />Ramsey High School. Council referred the matter to Robert Nethercut. <br /> <br />League of Minnesota Municipalities. Annual Meeting <br />The League of Minnesota Municipalities Metro Section will hold its <br />1970 annual meeting May 21, at the council chambers of the Richfield <br />city hall at 8:00 p.m. Representation referred to the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Metro Sewer Board, Public Hearing <br />This hearing will be held June 24.1:30 p.m., at the St. Paul Arts <br />and Science Center. Mayor Crepeau urged the Council to attend <br />and requested Mrs. Stromquist to, sanda copy of the notice to each <br />Council member. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR LORRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />A ortlonment Resolution Sanltar Sewe~ No. I <br />Councilman Herrick moved, seconded by ounci Iman Olmen, the <br />adoption of is Resolution. as attached, of apportionment of assess- <br />ments relating to Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. I; motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Conditional Use Permit. 1905 Glenpaul Avenue <br />Councilman Herrick moved, seconded by Councilman Olmen, that a <br />Conditional Use Permit be granted to Mrs. Goldren Anderson, 1905 <br />Glenpaul Avenue, to operate a beauty salon from her bome, subJe~t <br />to the payment of a $3.00 fee for a 3-year period, effective <br />January I, 1970; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Claims <br />Councilman Olmen moved, seconded by Councilman Herrick, that the <br />claims, as attached, be approved for payment: motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />,.~! <br />Pt, <br /> <br />Drug Addiction Matter <br />Mr. William Feyerisen, 4261 N. Hamline Avenue, requested notification <br />when the Door of Hope matter Is placed on the Council Agenda to <br />enable him to represent the Mounds View School District at the <br />Council meeting.
