The Committee <br />expects to complete the development of the Charles Perry Park lri <br />1970. Two landfl Ii contractors have agreed to remove topsoil, <br />fill, grade and replace the topsol I, If the Village would allow <br />them to place the landfl I I material in the park. Councilman <br />Herrick reported that this might result In a savings of about <br />$10,000 t to the Village. <br /> <br />Councilman HoiOenhorst recommended that the Parks and Recreation <br />Committee prepare formal plans for the deveiopment and submit to <br />the Planning Commission by their April 7 meeting, If possible. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Parks Plan <br />Councilman HoAlenhorst suggested that Ramsey County and the Metro <br />Councl I be asked to consider placing all vacant Arden HI ils pro- <br />perty within the area from lake Johanna to County Road F on the <br />long range Ramsey County Park pian. The Council referred the sug- <br />gestion to the Parks and RecreatIon Committee. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN HENDERSON - Finance and Municipal ~ands and <br />Building <br /> <br />Village Flnancl~ Statement - 1969 <br />Councilman Henderson reported that the Finance Committee recom- <br />mends approval and publIcation of the 1969 Flnancla! Statement <br />as prepared by the Clerk Administrator's of-ilce; however, they <br />request additional time to study other factors concerning the <br />report and additional summaries referred to as being part of <br />further reports. <br /> <br />Councl !man Henderson moved, seconded by Councilman Hoii6~horst, <br />approval of the flnancia! statament,as attached, authorized the <br />transfer of fund~ as listed, and approved the investments made <br />by the Village Treasurer during 1969 Included therein; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />!E~m Drive Sanitary Sewer P~~ <br />Councilman Henderson read an excerpt from the FInance Committee <br />minutes of Mar'cn 19, ~970, plH'talnlng to sewer construction on <br />private property. The matter Is stilI being studied by the <br />Finance Committee. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR CREPEAU - Genera! Government and Public Safety <br /> <br />Public Safety Co~ttee Repor~ <br />Mayor Crepeau revIewed the Committee minutes of March 14, 1970, <br />whIch included a study of purchasing or leasing a special squad <br />car; the Committee recommends purchasing. Specifications were <br />distributed to the Councl i. Further details are to be obtained <br />by Mayor Crepeau. <br /> <br />Street Light - Del Ivlew and Glenview , <br />Councl'man Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Councl iman Henderson, <br />that the Village pay the maintenance and power cost of 545.00 <br />annually for the street light at Dellvlew and Glenvlew Avenues; <br />this street !Ight was formerly owned by Charles Buckingham; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Pollution and Burnln~ Control Matter <br />A recommendation from the Public Safety Committee to prohibIt out- <br />side burning etfectlvll July I, 1970, was reoferred to Attorney <br />Courtney to draft an ordinance after consulting with the fire chief. <br />The Councl~ plans to Inform the residents at Beast 3 weaks In ad- <br />vance of the effective date. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />-3- <br />
