Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 14 Engineer Lund informed the Counci 1 that the cost Increase of the project from $114,000 to $122,000 Is the result of easement costs In the alternate plan for construction on private property, as requested by the residents. The Council referred the matter to the Finance Committee and the Public Works Committee to study the Increase cost of the alternate plan and also to review the possibility of adjusting assessments, and directed Engineer Lund to defer any further plans for the project pending the Committees' reports. Water 1m rovement - 67-2 Assessment Abatement Mr. Robert Hayes, owner of I I Ridgewood Road, was present re- garding his property, which is located in both Rosevllle and Arden Hills. The property was assessed for water by Rosevll!e and paid by the previous owner, and also assessed by Arden Hills. Councilman Hoilenhorst moved, seconded by Councilman Henderson, approval of a Resolution, as attached, to abate the Water Improvement 67-2 assessment levied against Lot 9A, Block 13, Arden Hi lis J...N..o.'~ "-1 4, In the amount of $482.00; motion carried unanlmousIY'~~r---~ v........ aJt:j - ~ s-_:Js-16 Water Meters Maintenance A~reement with Rosevllle Engineer Lund reviewed Mr. Roger Klober's letter to Arden Hills, dated February 2, 1970, regarding a proposai that Rosevil~e main- tain Arden Hills' rented master meters at an annual charge of $376.25. Councilman Olmen moved, seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst, approval of an agreement with Rosevllle, as recommended by Engineer Lund and attached, regarding the Rosevll!e charge to Arden Hills for the maintenance of the rented master water meters Cless the possible $100.00 credit); motion carried unanimously. Ramsey County Ditch No. 12 Engineer Lund reviewed the Banister Engineering Report, dated March 13, 1970, which had been distributed to the Council. Ramsey County has requested Arden Hills and Shorevlew to Install utilities along Lexington Avenue before It Is Improved; the storm drainage Improvement cost should be shared by Arden Hills and Shorevlew. The Council requested Engineer Lund to obtain an estimate of the Arden Hills' share of the storm drainage cost. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JOHN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning Case No. 70-1, Northern States Power Company. Special Use Permit Councilman Hollenhorst Informed the Council that the Planning Commission had held the public hearing on this matter; there were no objections. Mr. Robert Anderson, 1357 Floraij Drive, was present and questioned the legality of the public hearing since the date was In error In the published notice. Councilman Hoftlenhorst reviewed Attorney Courtney's letter, dated March 2, 1970, regarding the matter; after some discussion, it was determined that the public hearing was legal. Messrs. Nick Dreis and Bill Jensen from Northern States Power Company were present. Councilman H~rrick and Mr. Anderson stated their dissatisfaction with present Northern States Power Company's projects In the Village. Mr. Jensen stated t~at he was sorry to hear Councilman Herrick's op!nlon of the Northern States Power Company's image and apologlzod stating that he will relate this matter to management. .
