Read, Attorney Vincent P. Courtney, Engineer <br />Donald lund, Maintenance Supervisor Everett Beecher and <br />Deputy Clerk Florence M. Honan <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of February 9, 1970 were <br />approved as corrected. <br /> <br />Proposed Uniform Snowmobl Ie Ordinance <br />Mr. Richard Wedell was not present at this time. Subject covered <br />after Attorney Courtney's report. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />league of Women Voters, Financial Assistance <br />The League of Women Voters requested that the expenditure the Council <br />authorized to assist the league in mailing their handbook be applied <br />to the cost of printing Instead, because the booklet is delivered to <br />the homes rather than mailed. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney stated that his opinion Is the same as given at the <br />last Councl I meeting. and outlined In his Detter dated February 16, <br />1970. The Council requested Attorney Courtney to submit the handbook <br />and question to the Attorney General for his opinion on the matter; <br />this would also guide the Councl I on future slmi lar requests. <br /> <br />Wage Schedule. Public Works and Parks and Recreation Employees <br />The Council decided to defer questions regarding wage schedule inter- <br />pretations and the clarification of working hours until an agreement <br />has been reached with the union. <br /> <br />Arden Hills - New Brighton Proposed Land Exchanqe <br />The Council agreed that engineering and financial details all be com- <br />pleted but that the transfer approval be withheld from both villages <br />until the results of the 1970 Federal Census are completed. <br /> <br />Water Improvement 68-2 and 68-3, Revised Prolect Summary <br />Attorney Courtney reviewed his letter of February 16, 1970, regarding <br />a revised Water Improvement 68-2 and 68-3 project summary as submit- <br />ted by EngLlleeI Norman .Hendr I ckson. wh i chi!; necessary to reJlor! to <br />HUD.!._HI3,OOO of the project cost will be used for inellglbre <br />}~cl II +1 as , .wh I chw i II be ~.9..ifectedf rom the property owners ($ 130. 00 <br />1....':./iiflfio..'^'_I"._~.~cJ'L!;er"'lce). Mrs. Stromquist requested to send copies <br />.... ,f this letter to the Council members. <br /> <br />',r . <br />.:'t!odel Uniform Snowmobile Ordinance <br />~r. Richard Wedell, Ramsey County League of Municipalities, arrived <br />and presented the background and purpose of a uniform snowmobile <br />ordinance In Ramsey County as drafted by the league. He stated that <br />inconsistencies exist in ordinances within the County that result <br />in confusion to the police departments and to the snowmobile oper- <br />ators. <br /> <br />The Council referred the ordinance to the Arden Hills Ordinance <br />Review Committee to compare with the present Arden Hi lis Ordinance. <br /> <br />~~. <br />
