The <br />matter w~s referred to the Public Safety Committee for its <br />recommendations to the Council. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR LORRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />N.S.P. Adjusted Rate Pro~ram <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist advised that a letter, <br />dated January 28, 1970, regarding adjusted electric power rates <br />has been received, and copies made for each Councilman. The <br />matter was referred to the Public Works Committee for its <br />report to the Council. Copies of past correspondence re this <br />matter were requested to be sent to Councilman J. Hollenhorst <br />and the Public Works Committee by the Clerk Administrator. <br /> <br />~2!l1onmant of Assessm~nt Resolution - Sanitary Sewer <br />lmorovements 3 and 7 <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist advised that the resolu- <br />tions appear to be In order and recommended approval by the <br />Council as submitted. It was moved by Councilman Henderson that <br />the Res~utlons ReJatln~to Apport!on~ent of Assessments RelatinQ <br />to Sanitary Sewer Improvements 3 and 7 be approved as recommended; <br />seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />~taurant License Renew~i Application - Civil Defense Training <br />Center <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved that the Council approve the renewal <br />of the Civil Defense Training Center license to operate a <br />restaurant; seconded by Councilman Herrick and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Outstanding Licenses _~970 <br /> <br />Vend I nq Mach i ne and S i~.!L Licenses <br />It was moved by Councilman Herrick that the outstanding vending <br />machine and sign licenses be referred to the Police Oepartment, <br />to order removal of machines or signs or compliance with the <br />licensing regulations; motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Hollenhorst and carried unanlmous~y. <br /> <br />The Council advised Clerk Administrator Stromquist that, until <br />further notice, this wi I I be the standard order of procedure, <br />If I icenses are not obtained by February 1st each year. <br /> <br />Q2.a. L i cense~ <br />The Council requested that a follow-up letter, and another <br />application be sent to those who have not compIled with the <br />dog licensing requirements, asking that they advise if they <br />still have a dog, and I t so, to I icense it now. <br /> <br />The doo license ordinance was referred to the Ordinance Review <br />Committee for possible amendment to include a penalty clause <br />after February 1st and also to study the reasoning for the <br />higher lice~se fee for female dogs. <br /> <br />Ordinance Review Committee <br />Clark Administrator Lorraine Stromquist advised that the <br />Ordinance Review Committee has set the 1st Thursday of each <br />month as Its regular meeting date, and are currently studying <br />the Plumbing Code. <br /> <br />1970 Census Seminar <br />Clerk Administrator Stromquist advised the Council of a forth- <br />coming Metropolitan Council meeting to be held on March 13, 1970 <br />at the St. Paul Hotel - 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. to advise of <br />uses which can be made of census figures over the next ten years. <br /> <br />. <br />
