<br />"" ..... <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />- 4 - <br /> <br />February 9, 1970 <br /> <br />Fill and grading violations were referred to the Poi Ice Department <br />and Building Inspector Clay Kel ley to coordinate thelr efforts <br />to correct all landflllln9 violations. <br /> <br />The Administrative Office, Building Inspector and Pollee Department <br />were requested to keep each other advised of areas being filled. <br /> <br />Fisher Construction Compa!lY. - Request for Village Areas Needing Fill <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist reported to the Council <br />that she received a telephone request from Fisher Construction <br />Company on February 9, advising that they are looking for low <br />areas in which to dump landfill material, asking If Arden Hills <br />Is Interested in 11 II ing any low areas. Matter was referred <br />to Parks and Recreation to determine if the Park areas require <br />fll I material. . <br /> <br />Uniform Building Code <br />The matter of adoption of a revised building code for Arden Hills <br />was referred to the Planning Commission to study the 1970 editions <br />of the Minnesota and Uniform Building Codes and submit Its recom- <br />mendations to the Council. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCiLMAN RONALD HERRICK <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Committee <br />Councilman Herrick advIsed that the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />will hold Its next meeting on Tuesday, February 17. <br /> <br />Human Riqhts Commission <br />Councilman Herrick advised that the Human Rights Commission held <br />Its first meeting of 1970 on February 2nd and has scheduled <br />an additional February 18th meeting. He said he has two pieces of <br />literature, "Open Housing - Fact or Fiction" and "What the <br />White Woman Can Do" for distribution. No Council action to be <br />taken at tonight's meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN E. GRAY HENDERSON <br /> <br />Councilman Henderson advised that the preliminary Capital <br />Improvement and Debt Study for the Vii lage of Arden Hills has <br />been comp'eted and received from Peterson and Popovich and will <br />be studied by the Finance Committee on Thursday, February 12th. <br />Mr. Henderson also advised that he is working on the operating <br />expenses of the Watsr Util ity Fund, which he anticipates wil I <br />be ready for study at that meeting also. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN STANLEY OLMEN <br /> <br />Councilman Olmenadvised the Council that the Public Works <br />Committee wll I hold its next meeting on Wednesday, February 11~h. <br />No report at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Everett Beecher, Public Works Supervisor, advised that the <br />new truck has arrived and is in fine working condition except <br />fo~ a few minor repairs w~ich will be taken car of as soon as <br />parts are avatlable. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR HENRY J. CREPEAU, JR. <br /> <br />fulpointment 0'1 Vlllaqe Forester <br />Mayor Crepeau recommended appointment of Councilman Ronald HerrIck <br />as the Village Forester for 1970. Councilman Hollenhorst moved <br />the appointment be approved as recommended, seconded by Councilman <br />Henderson, carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Metropcl itan.Sectlon MeetLllL- February 19, 1970 <br />The Council requested that Fire Chief Harry Ehlers be requested to <br />attend this meeting, at 8:00 p.m., at the Richfield City Hal I, <br />representing Arden HII is; anyone else wishing to attend was also <br />urged to do so. <br /> <br />. <br />
