The Administrative Office, Building Inspector and Pollee Department were requested to keep each other advised of areas being filled. Fisher Construction Compa!lY. - Request for Village Areas Needing Fill Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist reported to the Council that she received a telephone request from Fisher Construction Company on February 9, advising that they are looking for low areas in which to dump landfill material, asking If Arden Hills Is Interested in 11 II ing any low areas. Matter was referred to Parks and Recreation to determine if the Park areas require fll I material. . Uniform Building Code The matter of adoption of a revised building code for Arden Hills was referred to the Planning Commission to study the 1970 editions of the Minnesota and Uniform Building Codes and submit Its recom- mendations to the Council. REPORT OF COUNCiLMAN RONALD HERRICK Parks and Recreation Committee Councilman Herrick advIsed that the Parks and Recreation Committee will hold Its next meeting on Tuesday, February 17. Human Riqhts Commission Councilman Herrick advised that the Human Rights Commission held Its first meeting of 1970 on February 2nd and has scheduled an additional February 18th meeting. He said he has two pieces of literature, "Open Housing - Fact or Fiction" and "What the White Woman Can Do" for distribution. No Council action to be taken at tonight's meeting. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN E. GRAY HENDERSON Councilman Henderson advised that the preliminary Capital Improvement and Debt Study for the Vii lage of Arden Hills has been comp'eted and received from Peterson and Popovich and will be studied by the Finance Committee on Thursday, February 12th. Mr. Henderson also advised that he is working on the operating expenses of the Watsr Util ity Fund, which he anticipates wil I be ready for study at that meeting also. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN STANLEY OLMEN Councilman Olmenadvised the Council that the Public Works Committee wll I hold its next meeting on Wednesday, February 11~h. No report at this time. Mr. Everett Beecher, Public Works Supervisor, advised that the new truck has arrived and is in fine working condition except fo~ a few minor repairs w~ich will be taken car of as soon as parts are avatlable. REPORT OF MAYOR HENRY J. CREPEAU, JR. fulpointment 0'1 Vlllaqe Forester Mayor Crepeau recommended appointment of Councilman Ronald HerrIck as the Village Forester for 1970. Councilman Hollenhorst moved the appointment be approved as recommended, seconded by Councilman Henderson, carried unanimously.
