P.HCINRz .......ta January 22, 1970 RE: ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS 12 & 1" OUR FILE: 1/6803 Arden Hills Village Council 1450 West Highway 96 St. Paul, Minnesota 55112 Gentlemen: A considerable amount of the sewers to be constructed und~r Consolidated Sewer Improve- ments No. 12 and 13 have been completed to date, The construction along Ham1ine Avenue, Snelling Avenue, and Highway 10 is substantially complete, Of the sewers remaining to be constructed, a considerable amount is within private property for which essements must be obtained, Negotiations have been started with all of the property owners and a number of waivers of trespass have been completed, However, there are three major areas where the property owners are concerned that sewer construction may hamper their future develop- ment of the property. We have advised these property owners that it is not the Village's intention to construct sanitary sewers in such a manner or in such locations that will prevent future development of the properties. As a result, we have had several meetings with property owners and have discussed the possibility of rerouting the sewers across their properties. The enclosed map shows the three areas where possible sewer relocations have been dis- ; cussed. The original sewer routes were selected according to topography and represent the most feasible routes, both from the standpoint of economics and from the standpoint of ease of construction, Generally, to vary from the originally proposed route, will increase the estimated construction cost.
