<br />. <br /> <br />~- <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br />Monday - January 12, 1970 - 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Call to Order and Roil Call <br />Mayor Crepeau called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Crepeau, Councilmen Olmen, Henderson and Herrick <br />Absent: Counci Iman Hollenhorst <br />Also present: Planning Commission representative Rod Schumacher. <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist, Treasurer <br />Worth G. Read, Attorney Vincent P. Courtney. Engineer <br />Donald Lund. Building Inspector Clay Kelley. Mainte- <br />nance Supervisor Everett Beecher, Deputy Clerk Florence <br />M. Honan <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the Special Council Meeting of December 18, 1969 <br />and the Regular Council Meeting of December 29~ 1969. were ap- <br />proved as submitted. <br /> <br />Resolution and Plaque CommendIng Ex-Mayor BJorndahl <br />Motion by Councilman Olmen, seconded by Councilman Henderson. to <br />adopt a Resolution, as attached, commending ex-Mayor Bjorndahl for <br />his services as councilman and mayo~ motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney read the adopted Resolution and presented It to <br />Or. Bjorndahl. Mayor Crepeau read the Inscription on the plaque <br />commending Dr. Bjorndahl for 'hls services as mayor and presen~ed <br />the plaque to him. <br /> <br />Mayor Crepeau reported that Or. Bjorndahl will continue to be In- <br />volved In village activitIes. <br /> <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Legislation <br />Fire Chief Ehlers presented and explained 2 brochures published <br />by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency: Ambient air Quality <br />standards and air pollution control reQulatlons and Information <br />relative to Issuance of permits for construction and modification <br />of air pollution ebatement Installations or devices and Issuance <br />of operational permit; he submitted copies of the material to the <br />Council. <br /> <br />After Council discussion Mayor Crepeau appointed a co-committee <br />to study the subJect as It relates to Arden Hills; committee to <br />consist of Mr. Ehlers, Chairman; Attorney Courtney and members <br />of the Public Safety Committee. <br /> <br />Arden Hills Fire Rate Change <br />Mayor Crepeau reported that Arden Hills has been reclassified for <br />fire rates from Class 9 to Class 7. He reported that there would <br />be an approximately 12 - 14% decrease on the fire portion of the <br />hazard Insurance In residential area. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />Rental agreement for Equipment Storage <br />Clerk Administrator requested to check with Rosevllle regarding <br />the permitted use of the property at County Road D and Cleveland <br />Avenue which Arden Hills will rent for maintenance equipment stor- <br />age, and to check with Mr. Hlte, Village Insurance agent. regarding <br />the required Insurance. <br /> <br />-. <br />
