<br />. <br /> <br />Arden Hills Regular Councl I Meeting <br />January 12, 1970 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Designation of HUD Representative, Deposltor~ and Auditor <br />Councilman Herrick moved, seconded by Counci man Henderson, that <br />the First National Bank of St. Paul be designated as official de- <br />pository for the Village of Arden HI lis HUD construction account, <br />as per attached Resolution, and that the George M. Hansen Company <br />be designated as auditors for the HUD accounts; motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Dr. BJorndahl agreed to continue to act as authorized HUD repre- <br />sentative for the Village of Arden HI lis for HUD Account No. WS- <br />M I NN -9 I . <br /> <br />Water Rate Increase <br />Attorney Courtney reported water rate Increases from the Village <br />of Roseville whiCh were effective October I, 1969, as outlined <br />In their letter to Arden Hills, dated December 30, 1969. Matter <br />referred to the Finance Committee, <br /> <br />"Snowbird" Ordinance - Final Reading <br />After considerable discussion, motion was made by Councilman Olmen, <br />seconded by Councilman Henderson, to waive the rules and pass an <br />ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING OF VEHICLES ON STREETS IN ARDEN HILLS <br />AFTER SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THEREON, PERMITTING REMOVAL OF SUCH VE- <br />HICLES, PROVIDING FOR RECOVERY OF CHARGES THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING <br />PENALTIES; motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />The Council directed Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist to <br />mall to Village residents copies of the ordinance and also the <br />pertinent excerpt from Ordinance No. 99 regarding Village street <br />parking. <br /> <br />The Councl I agreed that common sense should be used when enforcing <br />this particular ordinance. <br /> <br />Watermaln Improvement 67-1 - Change Orders <br />Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Councilman Herrick, to <br />approve the changes In Watermain Improvement 67-1, ProJect I, as <br />outlined In Engineer Lund's letter, dated January 12, 1970 and <br />attached; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Water Improvement 68-3 Estimate No.2 <br />Councilman Herrick moved, seconded by Councilman Henderson, that <br />Estimate No.2, for Water Improvement 68-3, for $115,190.80 be <br />paid this month to Northern Contracting Company, SUbJect to the <br />Village Treasurer's and Clerk Administrator's determination that <br />funds are available; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Status of Water Improvements <br />Engineer Lund presented a map showing the active water Jines with- <br />In Water Improvements 68-2 and 68-3. <br /> <br />REPORT OF BUILDiNG INSPECTOR CLAY KELLEY <br /> <br />3757 North Dunlap Street - Landscape Bond <br />Building InSpector Kelley reported that the plantlngs are satis- <br />factory and recommends the release of the landscape bond. <br /> <br />Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Councilman OMmen, that the <br />landscape bond from Roberts PrOperties for 3757 North Dunlap Street <br />be released; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Industria! Park Landscapln~ <br />Building InSpector Kelley reported that he and Planning COnsultant <br />Mr. Silver wi II make a final Inspection of the !ndustrlal Park <br />next Monday, January 19. Mayor Crepeau requested Mr. Ehlers to <br />accompany them; Mr. Ehlers agreed and stated his desire to check <br />the water facilities there also. <br />
