Public Works Director / City Engineer <br />Lucas Miller, Assistant Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: 2025 Park Improvement Project — Plan Review <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />$230,000 — Arden Oaks Park $538,785 PIR — Parks <br />$245,000 — Freeway Park (Best Estimate) SLP — Lions Club Donation <br />$475,000 Total <br />Council Should Consider <br />Council should review and provide comments on the proposed 2025 Park Improvement Project. <br />Backiround/Discussion <br />City staff and consulting team, with guidance from the City Council, have prepared preliminary <br />plans for the 2025 Park Improvement Project. Over the past ten months considerable community <br />engagement, planning, and design has gone into the 2025 Park Improvement project. The scope <br />of the improvements is itemized below. The first are items that are being procured directly by the <br />city. The remaining items have been bundled into a project that will be publicly bid. Staff is <br />looking for final feedback from the City Council, if directed to continue with the project as <br />proposed, this will be on the February regular meeting agenda to accept plans and specifications <br />and authorize bidding. <br />Park Improvements Procured (or will be procured) Directly by City Staff <br />• New playground equipment at Arden Oaks Park and Freeway Park and Installation <br />• Picnic Tables <br />• Benches <br />Basketball Hoops <br />Trash and Recycling Receptacles <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
