<br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION - APRIL 17,2000 5 <br /> . lift and booster stations; and potential street engineering services from Roseville' s <br /> internal engineering department. <br /> Mr. Post requested Council consideration of a policy in directing staff whether or <br /> not to pursue a sharing of services and resources with the City of Roseville. <br /> It was the consensus of the Councilmembers that staff pursue discussions with the <br /> City of Roseville and provide a final draft of a JP A at a future City Council <br /> meeting on the Consent Calcndar agenda. <br /> MISCELLANEOUS DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br /> Public Works Department <br /> Public Works Director Stafford reported that the City had completed water <br /> infrastructure repairs as needed on County Road E, in preparation for Ramsey <br /> County's upcoming mill and overlay of the roadway. <br /> Parks and Recreation Department <br /> Parks and Recreation Director Moore reported that improvements at Arden Manor <br /> Park are nearly complete, with Nadeau Utilities completing their final punch list <br /> items. Mr. Moore reported that staff had observed increased use of the park, as <br /> . evidenced by picnic shelter reservations. Mr. Moore reported that extra wood <br /> fiber left over from that project had been used at other parks in the City, at <br /> estimated cost savings of $3,600. <br /> Other items of notc were softball programs being started; installation of <br /> playground signs; ongoing employee safety training; remaining park tours by the <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee prior to 2001 Budget development; increase in <br /> spring program registrations; and severe teaching staff shortage continuing to be a <br /> problem area. <br /> Finance Department <br /> City Treasurer Post reported on the final dirt inventory negotiations for the City's <br /> purchase of the Indykiewicz property. <br /> Mr. Post further reported on his upcoming attendance at the Ramsey County HRA <br /> meeting as they discuss Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br /> applications, for which the City had requested funds for additional improvements <br /> at Arden Manor Park, and for installation of a watermain along Old Highway 10. <br /> . <br />
