<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - SEPTEMBER 11, 2000 <br /> <br />34 <br /> <br />American Engineering Testing, Inc. <br /> <br />$18,808.50 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch recommended that the City Council award the testing and inspection services contract <br />for the new City Hall to Braun Intertec at a cost not to exceed $8,670.00. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant moved and Couneilmember Aplikowski seconded a motion <br />to award the testing and inspection services contract for the new City Hall to <br />Braun Intertec at a cost not to exceed $8,670.00. The motion carried unanimously <br />(5-0). <br /> <br />H. Resolution #00-31, Resolution Recognizing Accomplishments and Dissolving of <br />Specific Task Forces; Water Quality Task Force and Ingerson Neighborhood <br />Review Group <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated that he had been uncomfortable with the idea of dissolving the Ingerson <br />Neighborhood Review Group this evening when the final discussions were still ongoing. He <br />suggested that action be taken on dissolving the Water Quality Task Force, and defer action on <br />the Ingerson Neighborhood Review Group until the next City COlillcil meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson felt that it would be acceptable to dissolve the Ingerson Neighborhood <br />Review Group now since they had accomplished the work that they were charged with. <br />Councilmember Aplikowski concurred. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Couneilmember Larson moved and Couneilmember Aplikowski seconded a <br />motion to adopt Resolution No. 00-31, recognizing accomplishments and <br />dissolving of specific task forces, Water Quality Task Force and Ingerson <br />Neighborhood Review Group. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch stated the League of Minnesota Cities was asking that the City of Arden Hills pass a <br />City Resolution to become a participant of the Building Quality Communities effort. He <br />indicated that that it was not necessary for the City Council to decide this evening whether or not <br />to participate in this program. Hc suggested that a Resolution could be drafted that is more <br />specific to Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski felt that the City should participate in the Building Quality <br />Communities efforts and noted that the Resolution was not requiring specific action on the part <br />ofthe City. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst expressed support of the Resolution and suggested that this item be added as a <br />Consent Calendar item to the next City Council meeting agenda. He assumed that Mr. Lynch <br />was the designated contact for the League of Minnesota Cities. Mr. Lynch responded <br />affirmatively. <br />
