Farkas R.L.S. <br /> Olmen moved, seconded by Crichton, that the Council adopt Resolution <br /> No. 73-40, RESOLUTION RELATING TO APPORTIONMENT OF ASSESSMENTS <br /> RELATING TO SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. I, and Resolution No. 73-41, <br /> RESOLUTION RELATING TO APPORTIONMENT OF ASSESSMENTS RELATING TO <br /> SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO.3, 8S presented. Motion carried <br /> unanimOUSly. <br /> Sale of Christmas Trees Permit Application - Tom Wolcyn <br /> Crichton moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Council approve the <br /> Issuance of a permit to T. Wolcyn for the sale of Christmas t,rees <br /> at 3582 Siems Court. Motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> Payroll <br /> Olmen moved, seconded by Crichton, that the payroll be approved as <br /> presented; Motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> REPORT OF COUNCILMAN RON HERRICK - Parks and Recreation <br /> Comprehensive Park Plan <br /> The Council reviewed the amended Comprehensive Park Plan, copies of <br /> whiCh were distrIbuted to the Council on November 26, prior to the <br /> meeting. <br /> In discussion, It was noted that this Is a general guideline which <br /> can be amended from year to year, or before publication, I f deemed <br /> deslreable by the Council. The Council agreed to strike the last <br /> sentence on page seven (SectIon IV C. Agreements with Other <br /> Agencies I . ) <br /> Herr I c k moved, seconded by Crichton, that the Council approve the <br /> VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT 1973 COM- <br /> PREHENSIVE PARK REPORT, as amended and revised. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> (It was noted that approval of the park report, at this time, enables <br /> . acquisition of park land prior to adoption of the Comprehensive Village <br /> Plan; Comprehensive Plan will Incorporate the park plan, after pUblic <br /> hearing and CouncIl approvel.) <br /> Rink Emplovee <br /> Herrick reported the need for a part-time employee to help with the <br /> skating rinks, and moved that Jeff Stedman be hired at $2.50/hr., <br /> effective immediately. Motion was seconded by Olmen and carried unani- <br /> mously. <br /> Llghtlngof Sliding Hili In the Parks and Recreation <br /> Herrick moved that the $412 a II ocated <br /> Budget for the lighting of sliding hi lis, be used to light the sliding <br /> hll I at Mounds View High School. Motion was seconded by Olmen. <br /> It was noted that a joint powers agreement with Mounds View School <br /> District has not been presented to date. Crichton stated that, although <br /> he Is In agreement with the lighting of the hili, and possibly other <br /> joint participation with the school district, he could not approve <br /> -5- <br />
