ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL — JANUARY 13, 2025 23 <br />were in one camp and cities of Arden Hills size had a portion of an FTE. He asked if this matter <br />should go back to the Personnel Committee for further consideration. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Monson moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a <br />motion to table action on this item recommending this item be reviewed by the <br />Personnel Committee and be brought back to the Cih Council with a <br />recommendation. The motion carried (5-0). <br />12. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />None. <br />13. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mayor Grant reported St. Anthony and Falcon Heights both did solar panels through the Public <br />Building Solar Panel Project and the payback could be as quick as a couple of years. He noted he <br />passed this information onto staff. <br />Mayor Grant commented the Lake Johanna Fire Department opening bid would occur on <br />January 30. <br />Mayor Grant indicated the single hauler referendum in Mounds View failed. He noted the city of <br />Mounds View had voted to require haulers to provide the City with rate sheets and failure to <br />provide this sheet would mean the business was not licensed. He reported Mounds View has as <br />many or more haulers as Arden Hills. He stated this was an interesting approach to level the <br />playing field. <br />Councilmember Rousseau thanked the Chair Jill Anderson of the PTRC for her years of service <br />to the City. <br />Councilmember Rousseau thanked Tim Nelson for serving on the PTRC for three terms. She <br />recommended a thank you be sent to Mr. Nelson acknowledging his commitment to the City. She <br />explained she wanted to see the City doing more to acknowledge its volunteers. <br />Councilmember Rousseau commented the PTRC recommended any improvements to the <br />Hazelnut parking lot not be done during the State Fair. <br />Councilmember Rousseau requested staff forward the Great River Greening contract onto the <br />City Council. She noted buckthorn would be removed from Floral and Hazelnut Parks next week. <br />Mayor Grant welcomed Councilmember Weber to the City Council. <br />Councilmember Weber stated after serving on the Planning Commission many years, he wanted <br />to thank Commissioners Wicklund, Blilie and Mitchell for their service on the Planning <br />Commission. He welcomed the new members to the Planning Commission. <br />
