<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Village Council Minutes <br /> <br />-6.. <br /> <br />Sept. 24, 1973 <br /> <br />REPORT OF RON HERRICK - Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />Proposed ll~Etlng - Valentine and Perry Parks <br /> <br />Herrick asked Mr. Buckley to describe the lighting proposals at <br />Valentine and Perry Parks. <br /> <br />Valentine Park - Buckley reported that a 1,000 watt mercury-vapor <br />light on a 55 ft pole Is proposad to replace the three 1,500 watt <br />bulbs on shorter poles forlll'arly used at the Valentine Park skating <br />rink. The vapor light would be controlled Inside the w.~~'~g house <br />and also by a timer device outside tor atter h~ur"U$e. <br /> <br />Perry Perk - A controlled light switch Is proposed for inside the <br />warming house at Perry Park and an outdoor punch switch for use <br />after hours. CREPEAU, JR. <br /> <br />1974 Pollee Squad Car <br /> <br />Mayor Crepeau presented 1974 squad car specifications to the Council, <br />reporting that 4-5 dealers will be requested to bid; bid opening <br />to be October 5, 1973, ao),cipatlng an early 1974 delivery. The <br />Council approved the specifications as submitted. <br /> <br />B,eathalyzer Seminar - Duluth, September 25, 197' <br /> <br />The Council expressed no objection to Acting Pollee Chief Sexton's <br />attendinff the seminar. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Rubbish Haulers License <br /> <br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Council approve the <br />Walter's Disposal Service Rubbish Hauler license, subject to Health <br />Officer's approval; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Safety Committee Meetlnqs <br /> <br />'C. McNlesh reported that the Public Safety Committee has changed its <br />meeting date to the first Monday of each month In the Village Hall <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />FIIlnQs for Vlllaqe Off Ice <br /> <br />C. McNlesh advised that the first date to file for Village office <br />in the November 6, 1973, electIon is Tuesday, September 25, and <br />the last day to file will be Tuesday, October 9, 1973. <br /> <br />Payroll <br /> <br />Herrick moved, seconded by Holienhorst, that the Councl I approve <br />the payroll as submitted; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
