No provision for sealcoating the road has been included in the plans. <br />2. The 30' wide paved road would require variance approval. (34' required <br />by Ordinance No. 98) <br />3. The stom drainage has been channeled to run toward the Lametti property - <br />no ponding area is provided on the Bussard property. <br />4. No gate valve is indicated ahead of the proposed hydrant. <br /> <br />The Council tabled the matter, requesting Engineer Lund to check with Carley <br />Engineering regardiug the drainage plans, and to alert Attorney Lynden to the <br />proposed drainage situation. <br /> <br />. RIlPORT OF VILLAGE TRBASlllUlR RrCHAIID O'I<ELLY <br /> <br />Treasurer O'Kelly reported that $165,000 in C.D.s matured today at Sl:f%; re-invested <br />$145,000 in C.D.s at 7.70% for three months. He reported an anticipated increase <br />in interest rates into the fall of 1973. <br /> <br />REl'ORT OF COUNC:rLHAN JOHN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning, Human Rights <br />(absent - report by James Wingert) <br /> <br />Case No. 73-25, Presbyterian Homes - Fence Variance <br /> <br />Mr. Wingert reported that the Board of Appeals and Planning Cowrlss1on recOllllllends <br />Council approval of the 6' chain link fence along portions of the Presbyterian <br />Homes property lines, as requested. <br /> <br />Herrick moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Council concur vith the recommendations <br />of the Board of Appeals and Planning Commission and approve the issuance of the <br />Buildi.ng Permit for the 6' chain link fence. as requested; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case No. 72-35, Pemtom - Preliminary Plst. Townhouse Villages at Arden Hills, <br />Third Addition <br /> <br />After review of the Planning Commission's re~ommendations to the Council. Herrick <br />moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Council approval of the Preliminary Plat of <br />Townhouse Villages at Arden HUls, Third Addition; the addition of the "I" IIIOdel, <br />as described, the.overall plan, including the "y" turn around a as recOllllllended by <br />the Fire Chief and as shown on the amended site plan, dated, May 3, 1973. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case No. 73-7. Mrs. Farkas - Lot Split Request <br /> <br />After review of the Rdgistered Land Survey, depicting the proposed lot split. Olmen <br />moved, seconded by Herrick, that the Council approve the lot split requested, sub- <br />ject to a 30' wide road easement ahutting the south property rather than the 25' <br />wide road eaSell.lent shown. ~lotion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Bethe1,College Street Light Request <br /> <br />Wingert reported that the Planning Commission recommends Council approval of the <br />lights requested by Bethel College; Village to be re-imbursed by Bethel College <br />.for all costs involved. <br /> <br />. After discussion, the Council cvncurred with the Planning Commission's recommendations <br />to approve the street light installation and requeGted Mrs. McNiesh to write to Bethel <br />College advising of the Council's action and suggesting t.hat aesthetic entrance <br />lights be considered. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN CHARLES F.
