Courtney, <br />Engineers Donald Lund end Donald Christoffersen, <br />Assistant Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of July 10, 1972 were <br />approved as submitted. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department Budget Proposal <br /> <br />Fire Chief Harold FI~ne; Introduced the treasurer and representatives <br />of the fire department who presented a long-range proposal for equip- <br />ment expansion and 8 third fire station (location to be determined>. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion, the Council agreed to appoint a liaison <br />committee from A.-den Hills to Blee'; whh the othsr villages served by <br />the department to review the proposals. <br /> <br />~. Chvestulk .that the grass was replaced In the <br />condition it was prIor to the sewElI-/water Improvement, and the 1'lme <br />has elapsed to reques~ an assessment adjustment, and advised Mr. Chvest- <br />u1k that this matter should have been brOllohtto the ettentlon of the <br />C,)unc!1 at the assessment hilarlng. ~ <br /> <br />Mr. Stephen Krannak,l761 Fern.ood Avenue - Microwave Tower <br /> <br />,I <br /> <br />Mr. Krannak spoke In opposItion to,the proposed iocatlon of the Mid- <br />western Relay Co. microwave tower, expressing his concern regarding <br />InsuranCB and mortgage awei lability for his property across the <br />street f:oom i'he propo5ed to<<er site. He stated that he does not <br />oppose the tower, but does not want It in any way to affect his property; <br />advfstng that If it should fa!1 for some unknown reason, It could, <br />as It is pl-esenfly proposed. fail i~j5 feet onto his property. He <br />requ.s~ed that it be moved south from County Road F to prevent this <br />possibility. <br /> <br />Mr. Roger Sa~tBlman, structur61 engineer - EII.rbe Architects and <br />EngIneers, was hired by the Village to conduct a safety study ~n the <br />proposed tewBr. He stated that the tower Is ~tructural Iy safe, as <br />propOSed. <br /> <br />Mr. Chas. Schwab, Schwab-Volhabar Development Company, expressed his <br />opposition to the proposed tower location, stating that two tenants <br />In his office building, which !s located la~edlately to the west of <br /> <br />-~- <br />
