<br />#'. <br /> <br />Regular Counel I Meeting <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br />~111Y 8, 1972 <br /> <br />Case No. 71-26, Rainbow Hills <br /> <br />Councllm~n Herrick asked about the current status of the Rainbow <br />Hlt!s proposal. <br /> <br />COuncilman Hoiienhorst reported that a subcommittee of the Planning <br />Comml~slon wil I meet on Tuesday, May 9, ot 8:00 p.m., at the Village <br />Hel~ to compare recent plans submitted by Mr. Partridge with his <br />plans from 1971 to determine extent of changes. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Herrick that the Partridge plans for Rainbow Hills <br />be denied. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Crepeau reported that he, Councilmen Hollenhorst, Plannlng.Com- <br />mission Chairman McGough, and a fln~nclng sourC9 met recently to <br />discuss the project. The discussion meeting revealed pitfalls end <br />roadblocks suffered by Mr. Partridge In trying to get the project <br />movlng,plus the large sums of money that he hO$ at stoke In the pro- <br />ject. <br /> <br />Mr. Horrlck stated he was not aware of the speclel discussion meeting, <br />but still fe~ls thG project should be denied ond that Mr. Partridge <br />should ba asked to come beck with an application and new plans. <br /> <br />Councilman Henderson said he fevored eddltJonal leeway to Mr. Partridge <br />to determine whether the current plans differ substantially from the <br />plens sYbmltted In 1971, because Q' the large amount of money Inyolved. <br /> <br />Use of the property for county open space was discussed. <br /> <br />1.11'. Holienl1orst sl'lld that Kenneth Simons, Ramsey County Opon Space <br />architect, stated recentlythet the county does not now haye funds to <br />purchase the acre~ge for open space, but, if it could be purchased, they <br />would recommend to the County Board that It be left In Its naturel state <br />and be used for an ell terrain vahlcle track.
