Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />DATE: February 10, 2025 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, Interim City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement Amendment – IUOE 49 <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Estimated Amount: Funding Source: <br />$252,489 N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement Amendment with the International <br />Union of Operating Engineers Local 49. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />Representatives of City Staff and the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local <br />49 have reached a tentative agreement pending Council approval of amendments to the 2025- <br />2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). On December 16th, 2024, the City Council <br />approved the three-year agreement with the modification to pull the Memorandum of <br />Understandings for the Parks Lead and the Utilities Lead positions as well as any other <br />associated language. Direction was given to staff to bring the discussion regarding the newly <br />created positions to the Personnel Committee for further discussion of the proposed pay scale. <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee met and has brought forth a recommendation on a pay scale for the <br />PW Lead positions. The recommended pay scale for the Lead positions has a starting pay rate <br />that overlaps with the top step of the Maintenance position. The proposed amendments for <br />Council to consider is keeping all of the existing language the same, with the exception of the <br />following changes: <br /> <br />Wages <br />The proposed pay table includes a three-percent COLA in subsequent years 2026 and 2027 <br />CONSENT ITEM – 8D <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
