The following is the <br />proposed pay rates for the Lead Worker positions: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Lead Worker <br />A Memorandum of Understanding has been included for the Lead Worker - Parks and Lead <br />Worker – Utilities positions which will start in 2025. <br /> <br />Central Pension Fund <br />The Union members have requested to increase their hourly contribution amount from $2.40 to <br />$3.00. Minnesota Statute§ 356.24, Subd. 1(10) expressly authorizes the Employer to contribute <br />public funds to the Central Pension Fund as a supplemental pension plan for the employees of a <br />governmental subdivision who are covered by a collective bargaining agreement that <br />provides for such coverage. The MOU within the CBA specifies that the employee wage is <br />reduced by the contribution rate. This change has no budget impacts since it is the <br />employee elected amount that is funding the pension plan. <br /> <br />The IUOE Local 49 Business Representative has indicated acceptance of the tentative agreement <br />with the proposed amendments. Staff has provided a draft redlined 2025-27 CBA with the <br />changes as reflected above in Attachment A. <br /> <br />Budget Impact <br /> <br />The budget impact for the addition of these positions was factored into the 2025 budget, with <br />Salaries and Benefits totaling $252,489.
