Page 3 of 5 <br />• Water <br />o Water main was installed as part of the surrounding developments with 6-inch, 8- <br />inch, and 12-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP). <br />o 515-feet of 6-inch watermain that serves 6 properties along Hwy-96 is proposed <br />for replacement. This segment has a history of main breaks that would indicate <br />poor condition of pipe. <br />o Through recent inspections Public Works has identified a few hydrants and valves <br />to replace which were not included in the initial estimate. <br />o The installation of an additional hydrant along Amble Dr. is proposed. <br />• Storm Drainage <br />o Storm catch basin and manhole structures that are deteriorating and need repair <br />have been identified by Public Works. <br />o Retaining wall rehab near outlet pump (RCWD Grant eligible) <br />o BMP-Phase 2 – surface water treatment from Cummings Park and adjacent <br />property (RCWD Grant eligible) <br />o Grit chamber improvement proposed for drainage from Karth Lake Circle <br />(RCWD Grant eligible) <br />o Storm sewer pipe televising identified spot repairs but overall good condition. <br />o Dredging of formed deltas is proposed around outlet locations that discharge into <br />Karth Lake, actual amount of sediment to be removed will be evaluated. <br />o Curb and gutter is generally in good condition but spot replacement will be <br />needed in some areas. <br />Additional research regarding the age and condition of existing infrastructure will be evaluated <br />during preparation of the feasibility report. <br />Preliminary Project Budget <br />From the 2025-2029 CIP, the initial cost estimate is summarized in the following table and will <br />be revised as part of the feasibility report.
