There was Council consensus on seeing some of the data and <br />bringing this back to the City Council for further discussion on whether these <br />standards should be a part of the zoning code. <br /> <br />Ordinance development and review of ADUs is not currently a part of the zoning <br />code update process and will be a separate topic given the number of <br />considerations that need to be factored into considering this housing option. The <br />Planning Commission at their meeting on February 5th was supportive of the <br />Council moving forward with the potential incorporation of this housing option. <br />Attachment B is a summary of other cities that allow ADUs. If there is Council <br />direction and interest in pursuing this topic further, staff would bring back <br />additional research at a future work session for a more robust discussion. <br /> <br />• Lot and Site Standards - HKGi made several recommendations related to the existing <br />District Requirement Chart to simplify the information for how it is presented to the end <br />user (Attachment C and D). <br /> <br />At their April 9th meeting, the Planning Commission will receive a second presentation from <br />HKGi on the non-residential portion of the use table and will also examine specific development <br />standards such as parking, landscaping, fencing, outdoor lighting, and signage.
