City Council Summary Memo – Work Session #1 – Zoning Ordinance Update– February 17, 2025 <br /> <br />3 <br />Following this overview, Commissioners were provided an empty use table and asked to populate it <br />with their preferred housing types for each district, as well as the type of approvals they felt were <br />appropriate for each type. HKGi collected these individual responses and aggregated them into a table <br />(shown below) that captures the areas of agreement and disagreement among Commissioners. Using <br />this information, along with knowledge of current trends and best practices in housing, HKGi has <br />drafted a proposed use table for consideration going forward (also shown below). <br /> <br />Methodology: After each Planning Commissioner’s sheet was collected, each column was reviewed and <br />counted towards the selected permission in each cell. These selections were then tallied and compared <br />to the total responses. The final results have been color-coded based on the majority selected <br />permission, however some were split and denoted with a ( | ).
