<br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - NOVEMBER 8,1999 22 <br /> Councilmember Rem stated that the Parks and Recreation Committee had requested volunteers <br /> . to work on the 2001 anniversary cvent. Mr. Don Messerly offered to help with compiling <br /> history. <br /> Councilmember Rcm statcd that volunteers had helped the Parks and Recreation Committee with <br /> its October 29, 1999 pumpkin hunt. She expressed her appreciation to Tom, Bccky and Natalie <br /> Moore, Don and Jan Mcsserly, and Pam Sweeny for helping. <br /> Councilmember Rem stated that she had been invited to attend thc Minnesota Human Rights Day <br /> Conference on December 3, 1999 in Brooklyn Center. She indicatcd that Sushila Shah has <br /> attended this conference in the past and if allowed, Councilmembcr Rem stated that she would be <br /> interested in attending as well. She indicated that the deadline to register for the conference was <br /> November 15, 1999, <br /> Councilmember Rem stated that sbe was also interested in attending the Alcohol and Crime <br /> Conference. Mayor Probst asked how much registration for this conference cost. <br /> Councihnember Rem stated that the Human Rights Conference registration cost was $95. Mayor <br /> Probst stated that it would be acceptable for Councilmember Rem to attend thcse conferences. <br /> Mayor Probst expressed his congratulations and appreciation to City employee, Mr. Pete Sacks, <br /> for 10 years of service to the City of Arden Hills. <br /> . Mayor Probst noted that in the past, the City Council has recognized new Eagle Scouts in the <br /> City of Arden Hills. He indicated that another Scout had recently achieved Eagle Scout and <br /> suggested that a letter of recognition be sent to this individual as well. <br /> Mayor Probst stated that the Metropolitan Council will be holding a seminar on November 19, <br /> 1999 regarding the census. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Malone moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded a <br /> motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:09 p.m. The motion carried unanimously (5- <br /> 0}. <br /> , <br /> " ."1 ~,t:;Jo <br /> I '".j <br /> /1/ <br /> / iYh / ".~ ...... <br /> I ;Y~~ .. ..(,1;f <br /> Dennis Probst Terrance R.
