Motion carried <br />unanimouSly. <br /> <br />August 18, 1975 <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Status Report - Roger Rei ling <br />Reiling advised that he has not received approval of gas allocation <br />from the Federal Energy Administration; if he cannot get gas, he Is <br />not Interested In making extensive alterations to his grocery storel <br />servIce statIon at 3151 Lake Johanna Boulevard. <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />Reiling said he stili has gas In the tanks, and asked Council's <br />permission to try dispensing gas for a few months (with new dispens- <br />Ing equipment>, pending a possible change in the gas allocation <br />situation; If he re-opens the grocery store In a few months, store <br />wi I I be In service station area of building, as proposed earlier, <br />not In former location. <br /> <br />Council deferred action to September 8, 1975 Council meeting. <br /> <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVIEW <br /> <br />Counci I continued Its review of the Comp~ehensive Plan, starting on <br />page 30, Residential Land Uses. <br /> <br />Wingert referred Council to his memo of June 17, 1975, whJ~h he pro- <br />.posedas substltufe- w.ordlng for the Residential Land Use section; <br />noting that net acre, according to the proposed amended Zoning Ordi- <br />nance means the exclusion of 100% of streets, 2/3 of water acreage, <br />2/3 of swamp acreage, 2/3 of low load-bearing solis of less than 15 psf <br />and 1/2 of slopes that drop at rate of 12% or more per 15 feet of <br />distance. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion of the Counci lIS intent re permitted <br />land use in R-I andR-2 low density areas, the description of "low <br />density" was amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />a l Low Oen s I ty <br />As can be seen on the Plan map, the largest amount of resi- <br />dential land has been allocated as low density. The density <br />in these areas is intended to remain conslstant with present <br />densities permitted in the zoning ordln~nce for "traditional" <br />lot and block developments.
