<br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Crepeau at 7:30 p.m.

<br />Present - Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Charles Crichton,

<br />CrIchton moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Minutes of
<br />CouncIl Meeting of May 27, 1975, be approved as amended.

<br />Cardiac Pacemaker's, Inc. - Proposed Chan~e In Fundln~
<br />Mr; F. Warren Preeshl, Miller and Schroeder Municipals, Inc..
<br />explained that because of a change in legislation, re Industrial
<br />Revenue Funding, Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. is considering a $1,000,000
<br />loan agreement, with private funding not to exceed $2,000,000.
<br />Preeshl explained that the legislation limits capital outlay for
<br />research and development at the $3 million bond issue level, but
<br />there Is no limitation on caplt&1 outlay at $1,000,000 level.
<br />
<br />Matter was referred by the Council to Mr. Peter Popovich for
<br />recommendations to the Council.

<br />
<br />Sample Ordinances Re Traffic Enforcement
<br />Sexton referred Council to sample ordinances pertaining to traffic
<br />enforcement, which are not covered by Arden HI I Is Ordinances.
<br />These are under consideration by the Public Safety Committee for
<br />its recommendations to the Council.
<br />
<br />Sexton said that Snoreview's Ordinance re motorized vehicles on
<br />private property is effective and enforceable, and suggested that

<br />Sexton referred Counci I to Mounds View's codified ordinance book,
<br />which he said 1s easy to read and Is well Indexed.
<br />

<br />Radar Equipment lease
<br />Sexton reported that he/has returned the leased unit - should
<br />probably not be charged for June rental. He said the department
<br />has been "trying out" two hand units, one from CapitOl Sales and
<br />one from Custom Signals, which appear to be comparable. are easy
<br />to use and give-a good beam - can pick out cars easily.

<br />Sexton said the unit can 'also be used on
<br />
<br />tripod" If desired.
<br />
<br />Truck Traffic on County Road 0
<br />Sexton reported that the Public Safety Committee discussed the
<br />truck traffic problem on County Road 0, but determined that there
<br />Is little that the Village can do to restrict the truck traffic.
<br />Road Is a 9-ton County Road, over which the Vlllage,has little
<br />jurisdiction, except over traffic violations. After discussion,
<br />Council suggested that residents contact Ramsey County Commlsslonors
<br />Orth and Salverda re their concerns.
