Crepeau, Jr., Counci Imen Robert Woodburn, <br />Charles Crichton, James Wingert, Will lam Feyerelsen. <br />Absent - None. <br />Also Present - Village Engineer Donald Christoffersen, Parks Direc- <br />tor John Buckley, Building Inspector Larry Squires, Civil <br />Defense Director A. J. Schmaedeke, Clerk Administrator <br />Charlotte McNlesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm~ <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />C~lchton moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that the MI~utes of the <br />Spec I a I Counc i I Meet I ng of Ap r II 21, 1975, be appr<.wed as amended. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Mr. David Locey - Arden Association <br />Dave Locey, spokesman for the Arden Association, proposed that Councl I <br />consider Instituting a committee for publication of a Vi Ilage news- <br />letter; suggesting that present standing commltteess have a liaison to <br />this committee to relay news of meetings; committee to dQvelop cri- <br />teria for reporting of news. <br /> <br />Locey proposed that letter be published eight <br />Ing four to residents with util ity billings). <br />for 1400 copies as follows: <br /> <br />times per year (s9nd- <br />Locey estimated cost <br /> <br />I. Locey submitted copies of newsletter~ p~epared by other murlcl- <br />palltles. Council agreed to consider the proposal, and deferred <br />action to the May 19, 1975 Counci 1 meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF PARKS DIRECTOR JOHN BUCKLEY <br /> <br />Sp,ecial Meeting, May I, 1975 <br />Buckley reported that the Parks Committee has scheduled a public <br />meeting a'-t 8:00 p.m. on May I, 1975, at the Village Hall re Ramsey <br />Coun.ty Open Sllace's proposal for a park and hiking trail at Round Lake; <br />notices of the meeting have been mailed to Round Lake property owners <br />and the four newspapers. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Equipment Needs <br />Buckley referred Councl I tD his memo of April 25, 1975, re landscape <br />equipment needs and bids obtained, recommending that Council accept <br />the low bid for both the Scarifier Scraper and the Landscape Rake. <br /> <br />After discussion, Crichton moved that Council authorize the purchase <br />of the MF 18 Model 73-73'" wide (L-Z Manufacturer) Scarifer Scraper <br />at $638.00, and the Ford 760 Series 8' wide (Midway Tractor) at <br />$425.00. Motion was seconded by Wingert and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />S~ring Self-sustainIng Programs - Instructors and Aides <br />Buckley referred Council to his memo of 4-25-75, listing Instructors <br />and Aides - Spring Self-sustaining Programs; noting that Steve Flagg <br />(BIke Maintenance) and Richard RicKenberg (Tennis) are new instruc- <br />tors, others have been previously approved at rates Indicated. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
