<br /> , <br /> " <br /> MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING November 25, 1974 <br /> Page five <br /> Station No. 4, as the result of vandal Ism, costing about SI,OOO In <br /> repairs, and ma king i"he 11ft station inoperable, unti I repaired. <br /> REPORT OF COUNCILMAN WILLIAM FEYEREISEN - Parks and Recreation, <br /> Human Rights <br /> Warmln~ House - Mounds View Hi~h School <br /> Feyereisen reported that Mr. Buckley has negotiated the loan of a <br /> warming house from Shoreview for a year or so, which Mr. Buckley <br /> proposes be moved to Mounds View High School; warming house Is on <br /> wooden skids; electricity and gas hook-ups wi II be needed. <br /> Mr. Buckley described the house as about 10' x 20' in size; Village <br /> should get at least one year's use out of it at nominal cost (we <br /> . have a heater from former warming house; also one with the building). <br /> He said he proposes to move it with Village Parks Department trailer <br /> and personne I; only cost will be electrical, gas and insuranCe. <br /> Counc i I discussed the following areas of concern: <br /> I. Actual cost of moving and improving warming house at <br /> Valentine Park (estimated at about SI,OOO). <br /> 2. Obtain approval of Mounds View School o I st~ and Arden HII Is <br /> Planning Commission of location of the proposed shelter. <br /> 3. Whether a new structure would, In the long run, cost less. <br /> 4. Possible concentration of rinks In one portion of the Village; <br /> suggested that perhaps a rl nk in another section of the <br /> Village might have greater pri~rity. <br /> After discussion, Feyereisen moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Counc II <br /> authorize Buckley to pursue the loan of the warming house from Shore- <br /> view, to be placed at-Mounds View High School, if he obtains agreement <br /> from the School District. CREPEAU, JR. - General Government, Pub Ii c <br /> Safety <br /> Dog L I cen se Fees <br /> Mayor Crepeau referred Council to a memo from McNlesh re costs of <br /> administering the Dog Ordinance. <br /> After discussion, Crichton moved, seconded by Feyere i sen, that Counc I I <br /> . set an annual license fee of $5.00 per dog, effective January I, 1975. <br /> Motion carrIed unanimously. <br /> 1975 Squad Car Bids <br /> Crepeau referred Council to a memo from Chief Sexton, and after dis- <br /> cussion of services rendered and warranties provided re bids received, <br /> Crichton moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that Counc i I approve acceptance <br /> of the bid for a Chevrolet squad car from Stillwater Motors. I~ot i on <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Off I cer McCa II - Completion of Probationary Period <br /> Crepeau reported that Officer Douglas McCall has completed hlsproba- <br /> tionary period and Is recommended by the Public Safety Committee and <br /> Chief Sexton for Counc i I approval as a regular full-time police officer. <br /> Crichton moved that Councl I concur with this recommendation.
